No, I just tightened it down and yes it rubs a little, but it doesn’t affect steering or move the box for me. Good luck!!!

I have heard of some of them rubbing. Maybe a washer under the bento front screw slot.

Have you tried I stalling it backwards? That’s what I did. Didn’t have an issue other than I didn’t like the bento.

I used that bento box but it scratched up my top tube and cover so i switched to a soft bento box and no problems since.

I had the same issue. I’m not using that anymore.

Did you have to do any modifications to the BentoX to get it to fit? The bento rubs and moves when steering since it covers the top of the steering tube/column. I considered filing down the bento in the front. Anyone else having issues with a bento and steering?

I had to use a small strip of rubber to pick my profile designs bento up off the frame for just this reason.

I just used something I found out in the shop. Sat it on the top tube, marked the mounting holes, popped a couple of holes in it and presto.

A small washer between frame and bento on the front or front and rear screws would likely lift it up to clear the stem cover, but make very little visual or aerodynamic difference.

Edit: Mobile issues - just now seeing a bunch of others chimed in with the same suggestion above.

(Borrowing the picture from a previous exchange) With the seat jammed all the way forwards, is this what an 81 degree effective seat tube angle looks like?

If you have the seat clamp with the angled side forward and the seat all the way forward in the rails you will be about 81.6

My LBS guy took the hard molded clamps for the Fc35 and dremeled out the holes for the screws for the arm bars to make it fit. It works really well.

This may not be the appropriate thread, but I had a lube question. I have been applying the Premier chain lube after a ride and letting it sit until the next time I ride the bike. The next day there is a nice soft wax layer along the rollers and plates, which got me thinking that some of the surface wax would maybe penetrate better between the rollers and plates if I warmed the chain a bit. I got out the heat gun and went over a section of the the chain until the wax looked like it melts again, so I am thinking this is a reasonable way to improve my chain lubrication.

My question is two-fold. 1. Is this a better way to apply the Premier lube and 2. Is this a safe (off-gassing toxic stuff or fire hazard).

You will get some off-gassing so if you decide to do it I would suggest doing it outside.

Some of the lube does not penetrate because there is already lube on the chain. The dried wax is a great repellent for liquids. If you think you need to get the chain really clean - you can take the chain off, use some dish soap and wash the chain between your hands until its all clean - rinse with water; then dry and re-lube.

How often do you recommend doing that?

Only if the chain gets really dirty or you ride in an area with s lot of sand. Maybe every fourth time you lube.

I want to give a huge THANK YOU to Dan for his amazing customer support.

I got my bike and immediately felt overwhelmed; in fact I didn't open the box for 3 weeks! I called Dan and he walked me through start to finish via facetime and now I'm ready to ride.

Thanks again. Oceanside here I come!

Any recommendations of how/where to mount a Cycliq fly12 front camera? I have the FC35 BTA mounted already. Would remove the camera for races but would like to have it for training outside.

I see photos of the FC35 fitting on the bike, but does the Aeria Hydration fit on the bike? I assume no bc it requires the Aeria Ultimate Stem?

I have my tactical built up. When I grab the front brake and rock the bike there is some play (fore/aft)

Any other way to tighten the headset than the three set screws, which do minor adjustments to the headset (and add / remove friction to steering).

Thanks in advance!
