While I've been lucky enough to ride a Premier Tactical (on the Velodrome to test its aero-ness against a Felt IA) I had the chance to build one the other day. Riding a bike gives you a certain sense of it, but building one gives you some details that can't be found elsewhere. I'm really blown away but the innovation, simplicity, and care that went into this machine. A bike fit client of mine wanted a Tactical, came in for a pre-fit, and we established the proper size and front end configuration.
He has always wanted a Dura Ace Di2 bike so he ordered the Premier Tactical frame set and all the Di2 parts necessary separately. I cabled the bike and built it up. It's a super bike, so there some weaving of cables to keep them all hidden from the wind, but the routing is logical and I had great time doing it.
I know most folks will be deeply satisfied with the "Ui2" that comes pre-built and ready to roll, and at a startling price so you'll never have to cable up the bike. It's just fun to know that after a detailed look at the inside that respect can be elevated.
