This whole thread does a wonderful job encapsulating why triathlon will never be a huge sport. We should be welcoming her into the family, instead the armchair douchebags of the world are busy wondering when she's going to quit or if she's ever going to start.

She's not trying to shine in the sport of triathlon. She's using it as a marketing ploy to promote herself and her business. It's good that she's raising money for charity and I hope all those proceeds really do go to charity but you're mistaken if she cares at all about triathlon.

It's a stunt, pure and simple

However many of these Ironmans she completes this Summer will most likely be her lifetime total. I doubt she'll ever do another one, perhaps not another triathlon of ANY distance

I only looked at two cities.

Fresno to Las Vegas is 6 hours

My guess is some are farther apart

Anyone see a problem

What bodies of water is she swimming in each city I wonder

Where is her schedule?

It's on her Instagram feed.

September

18th Bluff, UT
19th Trinidad, CO

Just with the two events listed, the travel time via car is over 7 hours. Unless she has access to a private plane, getting across that distance in time to rest, recover, and do it again sounds insurmountable. Vegas odds are against this one...

Are you serious, or just errinly gullible? I’m going to row a boat to the moon, but don’t dare say it’s not possible because you will be spewing hate and judgement....

Btw it’s all a publicity con which this thread shows is working to perfection.

How do you think the NFL and its fans would respond if her coach said he could be a bell-cow RB1 for an NFL season?

He's perfectly serious. There is nothing wrong with expressing doubt but this thread has managed to call her a whore, a tramp, a cheater for not doing the distances, looking like a man, naive, a con artist, being unattractive (to at least one person here), and a cheater for doping. All of those reprehensible things have been said before she even toed the line. No one on here has mentioned any personal dealings with Horner to substantiate any of these claims. I personally can't believe that this thread has been allowed to continue. Because if I made some of these claims about a fellow ST'er the thread would get shut down within a day.

Not actually calling her a tramp, however

She mentions in comments of latest IG post she will be using a pool for swim in Atlanta. I wonder if she'll do that for many of the places. Not that it matters that much but pushing off the wall obviously helps.

Ya but at least the distance should be accurate, assuming she and/or her handlers can do simple math. Many times tri swims are short, which leads to novice swimmers saying "oh, i'm faster in OW than in the pool", which virtually never true b/c of the push-offs as you mentioned. :)

Tramp stamp perfectly implies the person wearing it is a tramp. Hence the name, tramp stamp.

Attention whore, a name usually placed on a woman, implies thew person whoring themselves out for attention. Hence the name, attention whore.

You're defeating yourself. The bolded bit shows that you know it's metaphorical and no one called her a sex worker. No one implied she was a sex worker. You are lying when you claim anyone did. Stop.

I would counter that the person who said "tramp stamp location" phrased it in such a way so NOT to say she is a tramp; in effect saying "the place where someone who might be considered a tramp would put a tattoo, but his girl is NOT a tramp, she just doesn't have any space on her arms to put one, so let's go with the lower back" but only using 3 words

Yes, it does imply that. What other conclusion would you come to about a person having what you call a tramp stamp, other than that person is a tramp?

In what world are you living where there is different definitions for a whore? Whoring oneself out is not open to different implications.

Big difference between saying a M-Dot TATTOO in a tramp stamp *location* and saying someone should get a tramp stamp.

The former is referring a logo tattoo in a location that everyone recognizes. The later refers to an actual tramp stamp. The M-Dot tattoo have been referred to by many things on Slowtwitch. A tramp stamp, it has not.

It’s the location of the tattoo. Good lord If you hadn’t been on the forum for this long I’d think water boy got a new user ID. You are literally the only person I have ever heard of who actually thinks that getting a tramp stamp means the person is a tramp.

Not to mention I don’t think the word tramp has been used beyond this context for I don’t know how long. If you actually called someone a tramp today half the people would wonder what in the world you’re talking about.
