LCB is burning too many matches in that group. Not unexpected given her inexperience.

Looks like just a matter of time before she is dropped..

Relative to slowtwitch expectation she's taking a sledgehammer to y'alls faces. Not expecting her to win, had no idea how this would go, only that she wouldn't get embarrassed.

Not my face mate, fancied her (and still do) for top 10 which would be one hell of a result in your first ITU race. I'll admit though I've kept thinking she was dropped, only to see her pull up again. Some strength.

She has some potential in this sport ;-)

Very very strong. But similar to Summer in a way. Be interesting to see how she runs. If she can put down a 36 then should be inside the top 10. There is where I thought she would finish (5-10).

I'm impressed with LCB. Keep thinking she'll get dropped, gaps appearing when the course gets technical, but she is holding on with pure strength. Hope she has some run legs after this!

Got to fancy Sophie for the win now.

Yes Sophie looks to be super well positioned to take this one. I do think that she and Jess owe LCB a beer or two for shouldering the front of the fast swim and really stretching out the field behind.

I wasn't implying she wasn't doing well. Definitely better than when Wurf got demolished last year. Having said that, did not expect her to lose 2 minutes on the bike despite having someone as strong as Duffy doing plenty of work on her group.

Hindsight is always 20/20 coach, how about you predict how the run is going to go?

I love what LCB did to the dynamic of this race, no free lunch today!

Is Spivey fried or is Flora absolutely motoring?

Flora looks incredible. If she's within 60 seconds....

LCB holding on pretty well behind TS.

I think a lot could change on this run. Some big differentials even on lap 1.

We have no idea how Learmonth's run is. But if she's anywhere near she was last year, she'll be stronger than Kingma in the last lap. Surprised that Coldwell has let them go: assume she had worked harder than she should've on the bike. Charles-Barclay running better than many expected - she will not slow down. Is Spivey taking it easy, and then will put the hammer down?

With a 16:25 5km to her name the run speed was always there. It's whether or not her efforts on bike catch up with her. But doesn't look that way. BP and Beaugrand probably will catch Lopes.

You know, if I was choosing 3 women for GB to take to Tokyo from a purely strategic perspective (and ignoring selections already made), after today I might have sent LCB. Her swim could help win it for one of the other girls.

Surge by Potter is huge. But LCB sticking with Spivey has been impressive.

X2 She'd help shed and put time into Nicola who is looking pretty darned fit at the moment.

Distinct possibility. With her, Caldwell and LCB today, it does show you how strong UK women are given none are going to Olympics (obvious for LCB).

If they did a re-election it would be interesting.

Very impressive from Kingma. And given Learmouth's lack of running also impressive.
