Inventory is key. I was looking at the new BMC TT disc and was told possibly late spring summer delivery. if Cervelo is able to deliver the bike as soon as it’s released to it’s dealer network I can see a lot of people taking it home in their car.

yeah but this poster gets credit for linking the pic... what is that, an aero sensor / pitot tube? Also, are you seeing pad tilt?

Its their head unit, nothing fancy - can't remember the brand (maybe Sigma?) but I saw a photo on Instagram showing the bars only from Nicholas Roche I think it was just before the TT last week.

It is indeed a Sigma Sports head unit:

I guess it is the Sigma Rox 12.0 sport. DC Rainmaker concluded (short version):

Yes, but no bar tilt possibilty on the P5 disc i know now since today. I have seen it on very clear pics and details and tilting is not possible. Extensions can go fore and aft, up and down but od;y enough no tilt.

Jeroen

No tilt ever full stop? Or could there be some kind of tilt insert piece that could be swapped in?

The UCI approved frames list was updated today but no mention of a P5 disc anywhere - bit odd considering it's been raced in a UCI event! I'm sure there's a perfectly valid reason but was expecting it to be included on this update

List here just in case any else is also bored enough to look...

The monostem looks actually really slim. Especially once you compare it with the monostem of the Shiv.
As far as I know the bars can be tilted by 15° for non UCI races.

this saddens me

clearly the powerful UK time trial community 3D printed wedge spacer lobby brought their power to bear on Cervelo and squashed any utility that a tilt function would have brought to their bikes. The industry lives another day...

Good information. Do you know if there will be a dummy stem adapter as per the S5 disc? If Cervelo are going to unnecessarily limit tilt it would be nice to have the option to sort this out ourselves!

I purchased the p5 as a frame set (p5-three) such that I could build my own cockpit.
Will the p5 Disk Brake be sold as a frameset or will it be possible to build any cockpit on it?

Sorry, can’t share anything on that. That is up on Cervelo to share when they think the time is right.

Pure speculation: P3 Disc will come 6 months to a year after the P5 Disc, use a similar (same?) frame but with a conventional cockpit.

UAE tour ?

Sunweb was second during TTT, not a bad result.
Winners (Jumbo) were 57km/h average over 10 miles, real fast.

- I like that they put marks on the seat post and mono riser the make putting the bike back together easier post travel
- LOVE the integration of the DI2 junction
- the down tube widens out near the bottom bracket. Guessing this makes running a down tube bottle less of a penalty. Though I’m also guessing it make the frame a little bit slower than if they didn’t widen it and a person went bottleless
