I could be wrong but it appears there's an aero bottle on the down tube.

The new model is going to be called the p4-5-6.

There is also a p4-5-3.

Great Pictures Bryan! Thanks for sharing.
It really seems like that the he has a bottle on the aerobars, one on the downtube and one for behind the saddle. I wonder if this is their solution for integrated hydration.
The for seems to be really slim (maybe it only appears to be super slim after seeing the S-Works Shiv Disc :))
But I guess it would be UCI legal.
The downtube also seems to have a cut out...

In general, I’m kind of surprised companies are spending a lot of money and time designing, testing, creating new molds etc. Given that we’re at peak aero, it doesn’t make a ton of sense to pick a 10k bike vs a 3k one for most people. Add that to what had been, in general, a stagnant triathlon market. It just doesn’t seem that lucrative to spend all those resources to develop these new 5 figure bikes

I think I’d go the route of Trek. Continue to just put out the same solid bike you have been. If the tri market starts an upswing or if > say 75% of buyers start wanting discs then make the move which would be after all the growing pains of that shift have passed.

I'm kind of surprised they waited this long. Both the Shiv and P5 are pretty old in bike-years.

Those photos seem to be very carefully not showing the most important change to the bike. :-) Maybe it's just a coincidence.

Two bikes pictured:

One (in yellow) being the 2019 P5x?

The other (all black) is the P5 disc?

I think a lot of people miss that molds don’t last forever. If you have to cut new $50,000 molds (x5 for sizes so $250,000) you may as well put some R&D into developing a new bike as well.

Oh gawd, I hope not.

No, it's about the aero bar design. Cleverly hidden in those photos.

You can kinda tell in the third picture if you know what you’re looking for.

Correct.

Side note, I really dig the yellow paint scheme on this years P5x. Looks way better than the black and red scheme. I’d ride it if I had the money to burn...

What I've heard, is that the P5 Disc would be UCI legal as it is (by removing the thing what's on downtube ;) ) and there won't be two models.

Is there any news when they are going to launch it?
I was a bit suprised when they just launched the S5 "spontaneously". Is there any announcement yet?

S5 Disc launch date from external rumors was well known beforehand (1-2 months ahead).

Cool, so do we have any launch date from "external rumors" for the P5 Disc??

I am still wondering why Cervelo wouldn´t have an official launch event which is scheduled weeks before rather than telling the customers by external rumors...
Weird marketing

No, I do not :) (but my connections are nowhere as good as for some others here... who probably don't post ;) ) The guess was "around Kona time", which, judging from the pictures, might just about be right.

Interesting was that for S5 Disc, pricing through dealers was available already a month before the launch while P5 Disc - nothing, which implies that P5 Disc won't be readily available for general public.
