Kus, good work...I was going to take the rest of the day off, but I saw the Konaexpress quote (rest is what you do when you are dead...). I'm heading downstairs to hit the rollers for at least 30 min to flush the legs. Tomorrow, I'll attempt another half Ironman like day.

I'm in, Dev, and we are in a maintenance cycle, so no units training. Look out.

April 6--90 points running, 45 points cycling.
7--30 points running, 165 cycling.
8--Sunday is always an off day.

First weekend total.
330 points. No swimming here. Keeps things nice and simple.

dtreeps, a 3 hour ride is only 90 points. 3 hours indoors is only 120. You have 150 for your ride. Can you clarify?

Hi Matti58, that is amazing getting that much training in over the first few days. I think Woleai, Kus, CPTChaos and Cousin Elwood will have some serious competition. I don't know how you guys handle all this indoor riding. I'm OK with 30-45 min on the rollers or trainer at a time (or 30 min rollers+30 min trainer), but once spend more than 40 minutes on an individual machine, I start to get really bored.

Kus I did go down and hit the rollers for an extra 30 minutes to spin out the legs. They are feeling pretty cooked from yesterday, but hopefully by tomorrow morning, they will be good to go again for a big training day. Today's total = 120 points (30 min indoor bike+60 min run+30 min weights in the AM, 30 min indoor bike in the PM)

Folks, please get your scores in before you go to bed. I would like to issue a daily update first thing in the morning before I head off for that day's training and work.

Dev,

Day 2:

Bike 180 min: 90 points
Run 60 min: 60 points
Trainer!!! 60 min: 40 points
Swim 90 min: 60 points

Total for day 2: 250 (total for the camp = 453)

I was supposed to do 5 hours on the bike, but the weather got to me by hour 3 and so I did the run and trainer ride instead but only could stand an hour on the trainer. Tomorrow is supposed to suck, weatherwise again, so I will likely crap out far below my plan.

Dev,

There was a mistake on the spreadsheet. I got 128.5 yesterday, did not update until after most were in bed, had to go for a few beers.
So yesterday 128.5

Today - 1:32 run had to cut short do to intestinal problems. 2:35 on the bike then tonight another 14 min running for a total of: 183.5

Thanks ps: I'll email you tomorrow about flight times for wildflower.

um, bad math! sorry! I'll blame it on the three hours in 27 degree F temps and high winds. I was thinking 3 hours = 300 minutes.

Sorry Dev!

since my work week goes from Thursday thru Monday, and I don't get holidays off, the training has been a bit light the first two days. But I got ahead with work and now have Sunday and Monday off so I am out of here and going to Palm Springs for some heavy duty heat training.

Friday April 6: 70 minute run, 84 minute ride = 112 points
Saturday April 7: 90 minute Masters swim workout + 2 hour run = 180 points

2 day total: 292 points

I should be on the road logging 'real miles' now, instead the mornings have been cold and snow covered, with seemingly no end in sight. Like you, I am not much of a trainer fan. I don't mind doing a bit of it to supplement my general fitness routine, but I hate using it as my primary source of fitness. I did a lot of running this past winter because we did not have much snow for XC skiing, but was hoping to really transition to focusing on the bike by now instead of doing even more running! Oh well!

Desertdude, I have fixed the spreadsheet. I'll post the updates tomorrow morning, with everyone's postings.

second: you are so young. i never knew by your post you were such a youngster! i have kids much older than you who don't seem nearly as mature and motivated.

Jana, I thought you were the same age that you thought Tigerchik was (ie you did not give off the impression that you are in the masters category...) :-)

Dev,

Jana may be in the Masters category, but she looks like a youngster. Actually, I've know her since before Tigerchick was born.
