I noticed you are clamping your adamo at the very back of the saddle rail, and since you put all your weight on the front of the adamo do you ever have issues with your saddle rotating if you hit potholes or anything?

Nope.

I'll have to check though, but I do recall that I've moved my saddle slightly forward since that pic was taken...and I think I may have swapped the mount around so that it's clamping on the front part of the rails. There wasn't quite enough room to do so the way I originally had it.

Either way, I haven't had any "tilt issues".

That's the 2008 factory paint job--an instant classic. I'm not a fan of the 2010 and early 2011 paint scheme.

I agree, they don't look nearly as nice as that 08 paint scheme. I guess just preference, we all like different colors/designs.

Just a preference thing. I liked the branding better on the 08/09 bikes and the aggressive look of the paint scheme. The 10/11 looks (to me) a little half-hearted. The best of the bunch for 10/11 is the comp, with the carbon/red/white. I talked to Specialized about them custom-painting me one in the old '08/09 carbon/yellow, and they said they couldn't do it, and doing it on my own would void the warranty. So I'm looking at some different bikes for 2011, which breaks my heart--I really really love the Transition.

they're great. I don't know what kind of hubs theyve rebranded, but they're really good and smooth. They spin fast and it seems like forever. I highly recommend them.

I, too, am a member of the Specialized Transition mafia.

I don't have a camera so I can't post a photo, but it's a Black and Yellow Transition Comp, upgraded with complete Dura-Ace group, Profile Design Cobra wing base bar and Stryke aerobars, and Hed Jet 9 in the back and Hed Jet 6 in the front.

The upgrades have made the ride exceptional. Plus, as others have noted, the color combination is superb--different from most bikes.

Thanks for starting this thread. I've enjoyed looking at the photos and reading the posts. You all have very nice bikes.

So I'm waiting to build up my new-to-me 2009 Transition. None of my previous bikes had internal cable routing and I used the Cateye Astrale8 computer (wired). I like it alot because I could switch between Cadence and MPH on the big display. I have tried other Cateye's that have cadence but you can only see it as the smaller, bottom number.
It doesn't seem possible to use the A-8 with the Transition so I'm looking for some advice on computers that can have cadence on the bigger display.

Thanks.

What's preventing you from using the A-8 on the Transition?
