Feelings and emotions of Flanders? Nice. I want to do the same thing with a beer in my hand.
Yeah, I can imagine if an American coach starting talking about "immersing yourself in feelings and emotions" people would start looking for signs of a stroke or edging their chairs awkwardly away. The U.S. or British coaches are like, "Take in 554 calories per hour. I want you under 4.5W/kg until the Taaienberg, then I want you at 7.34 W/kg to take advantage of the reduced drafting effect and mass-dependent rolling resistance (cue @echappist)."
Taylor Phinney might be down with it, though. Which, speaking of Taylor, I hope to see him up there with Oss at some point, having some sort of impact.
Ha, yes.
Fwiw, I think the Euros might get the mental ride happy and inspired connection better than the Yanks and certainly the Brits. It isn't all bout stem staring.
I'm always rooting for Phinney but I just do not think he's angry enough. And he likes the ladeeeeez.
