Next time I whine about rain or what not, I need to remember this Ukrainian in Kiev today. 2 hours Zone 2 with an hour VO2 work! ;)

I don't know how I missed kick ass green. He just flatted and was back in the peloton in about 10 seconds. Does not look ill.

Watch for the Empire to strike back tomorrow.
Also WvA stormed away Reminiscent of Cancellara circa 2010. Except WvA won’t mind the sprint either.
For a brief moment i thought it was a bit too bold to attack yet again (on Bosberg), but WvA had quite a lot in the tank.

Good call on Golden Greg, nice to see him in the mix for leftovers.
Seemed like questionable tactics for Benoot to go so long and then allow the field to come back, but I guess when you have Wout, anything goes.
Btw, how is he getting away with the Red Bull lid? Guess it’s not a UCI issue?

I thought it was a great strategy and it kind of played out that way, as Wout for a time just had to follow wheels, recover a bit, and let the others in the group do the chasing, then go full gas on the Bosberg. I sensed that was all planned out. Although, they almost blew it with the two chase groups forming to form a much larger chase group, trying to catch Wout - but he was on unbelievable form! Wow! He put time INTO them!!

JV should thank King Kung for his work.

I should add that neither cyclingtips nor The Guardian is useful when it comes to live commentaries. While the latter has decent live coverage for “bigger” races, the former doesn’t provide any. Even more inexcusable is the former’s tardiness when it comes to posting results.
So unfortunately, it may very well have to be cyclingnews, although that site is loaded with trackers...
A better option may be to get google to translate Sporza’s live feed...

For KBK
Colbrelli, Trentin, Stuyven
Merlier and Pidcock

Just the sound of motorcycles and helicopters. If you're going to shorten the coverage to the last 40K, fine, but at least stick someone in front of a microphone for a bit. Flo - I'll volunteer to do this!
Valverde and Van Vleuten still winning. fwiw.
At least in the e-sports Worlds realm it's now actual young, fit people winning instead of the period we had where Cat 3 men and 45 y.o. triathletes were oddly winning races at the highest (indoor) levels. In totally (I'm sure) unrelated news, Zwift apologizes for not fixing the stupidly simple weight cheat that's been apparently available since about the beginning of Zwift, then "shadow banning" the dude who called them out on it.
Sorry for the indoor talk. Back to Belgium for KBK....

Shame on Flo. Charging $12/month and still can’t get its act together.
I didn’t want to give away results of the women’s race, but that was one bizarre finale. Surprised that AvV had enough to do what must have been a 300 meter sprint from the front.

Yeah we were wondering when we tuned int the women's race why it was without commentary.
Cool to see Derek Gee (a former student of mine) up there with the World Tour guys, while Rusty Woods holds amarillo (good day for Ottawa).
Funny how we all figure Wout's not in form, but acknowledge Wout gonna Wout, and he proves us right.
As for KBK, I'm betting against the wolfpack... you hear that Pat?!
Ewan, Colbrelli, Merlier
Laporte, Coquard
