Yeah, between that and Adam Hansen's custom bike, pretty serious load of bike porn. Pretty stuff. I wonder if the 3D printed cockpit will ever effectively reach the mainstream. (By which I mean $1-2K instead of ~$6K)

Does the UCI still stipulate that this stuff is all commercially available?

That has always been very adhered to loosely and unmonitored as far as I can tell.

Yep. Or care. Though just the right amount of money, care or attention is needed to give an F in pro sports. Anything less and it doesn't exist.;)

Also, Alaphilippe will be riding Omloop, Stade Bianche, and MSR. Not yet sure if he’ll ride RvV, but i applaud his participation in OHN

I agree. It's clear he just loves to ride and thinks he can win every time out or at least help a teammate.

I'm not that familiar with LFF helping teammates since it's not often he's in the position. But I was impressed with how he was trying to help Baller-ini this past weekend. On leadouts he was nearly all-in....empty the tank then sit up. Maybe he was saving just enough to avoid time gaps given he was in GC contention, but it looked like pretty legit efforts.

I saw it, indeed it is gorgeous! Price is ridiculous though at an estimated 6000 dollars

He’s trying, I think to get a lot of work in and he’s on the front in the mix at times when he could be cruising in. Not ready to declare him selfless teammate guy, but he clearly is having a good time. Reminds me a lot of a young Gilbert.
That team is absolutely loaded, which helps.

The next day after he won yellow in Epernay he was part of the leadout train for Viviani. Went back to look, and he pulled off with like 500 to go, but was right in the thick of it. And was the first guy to get over and congratulate. That totaly upped my respect.

Ineos has become hard to dislike over the past couple years. Boyish charm of TGH, Ganna, Bernal, Carapaz. If they'd only lose Moscon, I'd probably like everyone on the roster. Ownership/management is a whole other deal, but Ineos has a lot of company in sketchy ownership and management.....

I've come around on Moscon quite recently. For various reasons his actions enraged me and I do not at all condone his past behavior. For his sake (and others who he is abusive to) I've begun to cheer for him on a human level. I genuinely hope he can grow and be a happier / healthier person.

That said you won't find me pulling for him to win a bike race. :)

Ineos does have some likable blokes these days and I do genuinely hope they keep this open racing up.

Interesting news coming out of the Netherlands on Marc Hirschi. Supposedly he didn't want to leave, but his lack of transparency with the team on unspecified items caused DSM to view him as a team and sponsor risk. Further more its reported that his contract was not even bought out and DSM received no financial compensation for it. Who knows though; this might be more of the rumour mill.

Oh boy, that’d explain things. However, it’s hard to overlook the vast talent that willingly jumped overboard from HMS DSM and previous iterations. Why are there no clear or obvious answers with pro cycling???

When I hear about guys training in Tenerife, I still cringe. But, I do believe that things are much different now. Not squeaky clean, but much cleaner. The finish bottles while racing don't contain tramadol and when WvA's DS talks about taking the 5 kilos off slowly, well, that's a much more detailed conversation about why he's in Tenerife and what the strategy is for his return to racing.

BAUKE!!

Great race today. A quality field at Haut Var, and Mollema manages to come away with the win. Gotta' love the guy; he's always a bit of an underdog.

You are right EB! Trek really bossed that and Baume looked great at the finish. Today we receive some real fireworks. Predictions anyone?

no idea what the finish is like, but i'll take Dan Martin simply bc i like seeing him win... tough as they come, humble guy

pandemic silver lining #28, watching these French, Provence races is great, love that they go through the tiny town roads....they risk hitting a baguette
