Also, just to think, if Jose Bean were the commentator today...

In any case, good job @trail

I can't tell if MvdP doesn't have the legs today or is biding his time and racing with some craft.

He seemed to have been slightly caught out of position earlier. So I say pretty decent legs

Alaphilippe is isolated though

Been? ;)

I do feel for young Simmons. What a terrible time to flat and have a rubbish wheel change.

Good call @burgler

Also, somewhat ironic that the American on the American team, riding American drivetrain gets screwed over by said American drivetrain

haha. Give me Shimano or give me death.

I actually have SRAM Apex on a 1x gravel bike that has been great, but ironically the higher end SRAM AXS Pauline had was rubbish. I've had such rock solid reliability with Shimano over the years and especially all of the iterations of Di2, I'll need something completely compelling to ever pull me away from them.

You are right, though I suppose unpopular political views are better than punches, causing crashes and active racism instead of just implied.

Anyway, I should steer clear of politics. Bike racing is holy and I shouldn't tarnish this thread. :)

I hope we continue to see the trend of GC racers showing up for one day races.

Yeah he does as does Bernal. Happy to see him back where he should be.

Also, possibly the sketchiest corner in cycling, with the low early spring sun light

Bernal looking this good before the Giro and van Aert looking like this in his first road race, with all of the training Km's and being "pudgy" is a sight to behold. Strade is a sight to behold.

I think he'll come good in two-week's time, right there to defend his Milano San Remo title.

Also, that cheeky move by MvdP on the descent in the last few kms. Probably just straight up trolling by then.
