And [bad guy] has been charged with a richly deserved assault charge.
I guess hearing that the President can âgrab âem by the pussyâ gave Mr. [jerk] permission to âswat her in the assâ.
My sincere hope is that this does not turn out well for him.

Commentary on a Pathetics Thread on this topic is a bit disappointing.

Twitter reports he's charged. I can't find it elsewhere. Let's let the news catch up to the internets.

So apparently, the Savannah (Georgia) Bridge Run has made international news for the wrong reasons.

The Independent asked for permission to use that video that started the twitter thread.

He also shouldn't have slapped her on the bum. But charging him for assault is a bot over the top.

And almost 7 1/2 million twitter views already. Isnt there some way that people can get paid for views? At the very least, hope she gets some pennies for being the subject of this story. I kind of feel bad for the dude a bit, he is going to get way more punishment that his indiscretion/crime warrants.
But like I say every single time stuff like this happens, just assume everything you do these days is being filmed, and how is it gonna look once viewed by the public at large? And as someone firmly in the Baby Boomer generation, I do take umbrage of the accusation thrown at us all earlier, how many hits will my outrage get on this one....

The JSAV reporter was doing her job covering the race.
In the United States of America, unwanted touching is assault; if the prosecutor (JSA, where are you when I need you) decides that her buttocks are sexual, then a sexual assault charge is appropriate and justified by the video.

I canât decide which is worse, jackass slapping her butt or the Twitter verse calling for felony assault
Assault, misdemeanor, done
Felony assault????

It looks like she was outside of the white lane line, just like the police-looking vehicle behind her. It looks like runners were veering over the line to try to get in the camera view (which is fine), rather than her impeding anyone's path. Was the police car escorting the TV van? Do you have some evidence that she was "on the course?" I don't see it.
Not even going to comment on your other statement.

Exactly. There's media people on the sideline of every sporting event, why should this race be different?

Hey Herbert, fuck off...
I said I feel bad for the punishment he is going to get for his crime. Just like I would someone getting 10 years for smoking a joint back in the day.

So...,. in other words.... "she asked for it"
"she shouldn't have been drunk in that bar"
"she shouldn't have worn that provocative outfit"
I thought we were over the days of blaming women for the way men act... Yes, you do acknowledge the need for punishment, but how on earth is her being in that physical location a "fair point" in any sense of those words?

How has Peter Sagan won all those races over the years being locked up for this 2013 ass pinch?

That was NOT Sexual assault.
Assault maybe.
If you honestly believe that is sexual assault, your sex life must be out of control. Walk into the kitchen, put your hand on your wifes bum. Was that good for you honey?
The real issue here is you yanks love to sue over anything. And going to court for this is why america is so screwed up. Sure fine the guy $1000 for assault. Force him to say sorry. But anything more is so pathetic.

Yup!! If that happens to my family, but heâs not punished properly. I will hunt him down and chop his hand off. That will teach him a lesson and send the message to the society. Just donât do stupid shit like this.

I think itâs pretty clear the slapping of the reporterâs behind is sexual assault.
Did you see her face afterward? Sheâs clearly disturbed. What a bummer for her.
For those who feel like an assault charge is too harsh, think about it in the reverse. What if this guy slaps the reporterâs behind on live TV and DOESNâT get charged with a serious offense? What is the message to that reporter? That she has to put up with it. What is the message to the general population? That itâs okay to touch someone like that.
