Do you know the weight of the shoes?

most brands, if they post weight give it for 1/2 pair (one shoe) of size 42.

For us, a 1/2 pair of size 44 (I have not weighed a 42...) is 380g.

As with most things aero, it's not the lightest shoe you can get, but of course, that is not the point of this shoe.

I can't wait to try these out! I saw that some of the test photos were taken with Speedplay pedals, and I'm sure many people will be running these with Speedplay Aeros. Do you happen to know which Speedplay shims will result in the best fit between the cleat and bottom of the shoe? Wahoo doesn't seem to maintain the Speedplay shoe compatibility chart but I found a copy of it here: https://cache.tradeinn.com/...play_manu_cleats.pdf

Hi Ed

I’m going to place an order- I measured my feet and the. chart on the website suggests 43.5. However I wear 45 in Shimano RC-7 and bont zero+. What do you suggest?

Thanks

Honestly, if it were me, I would probably go with the size you wear in the Shimano/Bont. Or at least the 44. I am not a huge fan of that size chart to be honest. It was developed by the company that did the last grading, and they are experts and have been doing this for a long time, but also mostly for Europeans who have some different preferences to us North Americans.

It would be great if you had a You Tube video that showed how the shoe works in an actual transition. That way you can gauge if it is easy to close and open while on the bike.

Shipping is a little bit pricey, but I placed my order 3 hours ago and just received shipping confirmation & tracking number. That's impressive!

Congratulations ðŸ‘🎉
I've been watching this since the start. So happy for you as it was quite the ambition.

As mentioned, postage is surprising. $212 postage for me 😳

How has longevity been for you? Not that I would be wearing these as a daily driver, but I'm curious your experience and thoughts on how they hold up to normal-ish use (especially more frequent TTs).

Similar - I'm in ACT, Australia, and shipping comes out at US$138 (around AU$212).

I have been excitedly awaiting these shoes for many years now so I will swallow my pride and pay it - but struth that's exxy. I sure as hell hope they fit!

Not sure what it is about the US, but damn it costs a lot to ship stuff outta there.

Congratulations Ed - your perseverance is much appreciated, and I hope it ends up being a highly successful venture!

Good thought. I'll check the freight forwarding company I use sometimes. It should be much cheaper.

Thank you.

I really appreciate the support in spite of shipping to Australia being crazy. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have questions or to let me know how they are working for you.

2 hours, 49 minutes from my online order for a size 47 this morning to a USPS tracking number for the shipment - impressively quick. I've been looking forward to these for a while.

Looking forward to getting this shoe at some point. My current lake shoes are getting pretty beat up and I expect to use them through the end of the year. If you still have stock by then, this is my current pick.

Also looking forward to see if anyone else ends up doing aero testing and other reviews on them.
