70.3 Galveston

1. Avg watts: 218AVG, 222NP, 225avg power on way out, way back was holding 218avg power but backed way off last 2 miles dropping way back to 212avg.
2. Avg Speed: 24.3, 2:18:29
3. Distance: 56 miles
4. RideWeight/Height: 159lbs 2 days prior/ 5"11
5. Bike and Wheels: Trek SC, Zipp 808/Disc
6. Excuse time: never felt good on bike race day, legs were tight, think i got taper wrong, had to pee 2x, rode by myself till mile 48. Cant make many excuses on not being aero, i got that pretty well covered i think.
7. Optional picture of position: see below

BBS: had me at 2:18:30 riding 225watts, pretty darn close.

2024: Bevoman, Galveston, Alcatraz, Marble Falls, Santa Cruz

One more set of numbers from Galveston

1. Avg watts: 202AP / 205NP
2. Avg Speed: 23.8 mph / 2:21:xx
3. Distance: 56 miles
4. Rider weight/Height: 155lbs / 6'-0"
5. Bike and Wheels: 2011 Trek SC 9 with HED Jet 9; Conti Attack/Force with latex; one bottle BTA, another behind the saddle; LG Course M-2 and P-09 with visor
6. Excuse time: I had a ~2 minute stop for a wardrobe malfunction out of T1 that ran the clock to 2:23 flat. I had a later wave so I spent the whole ride with my head up dodging bike/vehicle traffic. I cramped a bit in the second half dropping power. Target was 215. I think that covers all of my excuses.
7. Optional picture of position: None

Sprint race--20km
AP-203 NP228
Average speed 30.7kph or 19mph
time 39min

Hilly course and bike got stuck in the small ring so i had 5min of coasting and another minute under 100w, my pedaling average was 235w. Fastest bike split of the day was just under 34min, so it was a tough course.

I'll bite on this one. Would be interested in see your position tfleeger. We are pretty similar, except I'm a bit smaller. I don't think I could go as fast as you on that kind of power unless there was a good tailwind.

its not a very good angle. this is from last year, the open "oly" at ITU worlds in Chicago. different helmet, and I have made some tweeks to my position since this pic, especially working on getting my head lower. and my pads are closer together now, and i'm about 6 lbs lighter now.

AP/NP was 243/249, avg mph was 23.8, but this had a lot of turns in the course, including a lot of u-turns

I did Chicago is 2014. I believe I split just over 24 there, but wasn't working with power then. Did they still have the tunnels in the 2015 course? 4 laps?
