Wow. I have the exact build ( SC, Wheelcover, S80 front) and wore a Lazer aero helmet and my power was pretty similar to you. Only difference is that I'm fat, paced rather poorly, and rode half your distance. Thought this might be interesting for the weight/power debate.

Was your race very hilly?

Here's mine:

1) 285W
2) 24.4 MPH
3) 12 miles (started my Garmin a little late)
5) ~203 lbs 6'1"
5) Speed concept, wheel cover, S80 front, Lazer helmet, good tires, butyl tubes

Poor pacing in my opinion. Looking at the WKO file, I spent what I consider to be too much time going higher than my FTP. I spent 5 minutes at about my 20 minute power. So, I'm guessing I burned a couple matches and that impacted the rest of the race? Not sure but I was hurting pretty badly on the run.

Numbers from the TT of a 2 day Omnium earlier this year:
1) Average watts: 323
2) Average speed in MPH: 25.07 MPH
3) Distance - can't remember exact distance, but not long enought to suit my power profile
4) Rider weight ~180lbs
5) Describe bike and wheels: Specialized Tarmac SL4 with drop bars, 404's
6) Misc notes, to whine and make excuses for your lack of power and/or lack of aero: Very windy and pretty hilly(no flat sections), too short of a course, I am a human sail.

This is the event where I decided I wanted a TT bike. I ended up 30th in the TT and got beat by several guys I know I am much stronger than (all on TT bikes). The winner averaged over 29 mph, but he is a monster.

I did my first ride on a TT/Tri bike yesterday and have no idea what I'm doing, but averaged 24.1 mph on only 255 watts (15 mile flat-ish out and back). I was struggling to make any power and the position was not comfortable, but I can see the potential. Much too learn, but hoping to be ready for a 40k TT in early November.

5. P3C with HED3 front and Het Jet disc rear.
6. This was part of an omnium and there had been a road race earlier in the day. Was pretty wiped out from the rr. TT course was into a stiff wind and uphill for first 1/2. Ugh.

Interesting. It was a dead flat course; my top speed was 31.7 MPH, so for me it was a bit mentally tough. Definitely went out too hard on mine. The first 10 minutes I did 319 watts at 28.5 MPH. Then after 30 min I was at 301. Middle section was a severe headwind, and stupidly I was already getting burnt, and averaged super low watteges. Definitely some food for thought in preparation for the next TT. Seems like yours was fairly similar in being a flat course though. Wonder how our positions compare.

1.) 237w
2.) 22.69mph
3.) 16mi (Amica 19.7 Knoxville Bike course)
4.) 152lbs
5.) CycleOps PT Wheel w/ Disc Cover (22mm SuSo & Latex) Jet9 Front (21mm Bonty R4 & Latex)
6.) On my Scott CR-1 instead of my Planet X or Zipp (waiting on parts for both) Due to the 3T Bars I also couldn't mount any clip ons... so all drops. Almost 3 minutes slower than my time last year despite putting out more watts :(

Theoretically every poster with input data could just extend the URL and update the graph:
http://www.wolframalpha.com/...ressionAnalysis.html

Tough, I would recommend using robust regression instead of simple linear one since there is a couple outliers already

Your numbers look pretty good, but you may be able to go a little faster on those watts. I only say that because Im only a couple of pounds heavier and can go faster on less watts at MY local series. That being said, my course could be faster, so it's tough to say for sure.
