I took last Monday through Friday off from running and cycling in a final attempt to heal up my capsilitis. Still hurts so today my podiatrist gave me a cortisone shot and tells me not to run or ride for another week. WWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

though she did say I can swim so I've got that going for me.

After an entire seasons of focused, dedicated bike training, I've added ~20 watts to my ftp, which means I still suck.

first my roof blew a hole in it, then my bedroom ceiling partially collapsed, then my new bedroom set was backordered. we finally have the new roof (installed 11 days after the cracks appeared in the ceiling), the bedroom ceiling is mostly finished, but the bedroom set won't be in until wednesday and we haven't had a bed to sleep in for 2 weeks already. training has suffered, i've been stressed to the hilt and not sleeping well, and i have a sprint on saturday for which i'm about as prepared as a hedgehog is for a calculus exam.

then none of that was important anymore, because my dad was killed in a motorcycle accident on the morning of fathers' day.

I started my FNP practicum rotations and I have no more summers of running shorts and t-shirts while school is out for the kids. As a result of being on my feet for 9 hours a day seeing patients, my CP30 interval workout was a total failure.WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

My Garmin 910XT died right in the middle of a workout and won't come back to life no matter what. AND, it's going to take a couple of weeks to go through the warranty process. Wah!!!

And yet, you still managed to compete, not only finishing the race but setting a PB by over 15 minutes from your previous HIM.

Not bad at all for someone who's limping on a swollen knee ;)

I climbed a big hill and stopped at the top for a good five minutes (because I thought I was going to puke). The person that created the segment on Strava made it continue on for 200 metres past the top of the hill. I now have the second slowest time on that segment in Strava. Now I have to go and ride that hill again to redeem my good name.

I am unable to accurately count laps while swimming and end up swimming further than planned, which has caused me to set new PBs in time and weekly distance. WWWWWWAAAAAAAAA

ok so maybe that should be under the back door brag thread. but damn I'm tired from the additional meters.
