This should end any debate.

Ant: "Is Enric Mas known for being a bad descender"

Nico: Zero hesitation. "Ah yes. He is a rider you don't want to be behind"

Lol

Nico can be hilarious. He's incredibly soft-spoken and polite, but then can quietly be brutally savage.

Bam Bam strong again today. Smart move by J-V to send Wout and Benoot up the road.

Edit: So strong by Kuss to bridge himself up.

I've received scorn for saying this before, so here goes again:

Pidcock is the best cyclist of his generation.

Wout felt affronted.

Yes, I liked when they played it same way last week with Wout and Laporte up the road together, figured same safety net today.

Man, Pogacar not going down quietly.

Not sure why Vingegaard told Kuss to pull back Thomas. I'd let him up the road and make Pogacar worry about it.

Oof, that Vingegaard wheel slip was terrifying.

Me as well. If I was already attacking the descent and they went down, I'd probably keep going.

Uphill I would feel differently ala Ullrich to Armstrong.

Didn't expect that. Class move.

JV swannies denying GT a bottle sucked. Petty.

The Green Monster is going very very deep.

Both of these guys, really. It’s impressive to see the level of respect they have for each other.

Does he have enough in the tank to sit up & help Venga if needed? Would J/V make a strategy call like that?

Yes. The two of them have been pure class the whole time. They day Venga took yellow, he walked right over with a smile to high-five him.

I think both are class acts. That said it is an unwritten rule that you do not attack in that situation. Do you remember the Andy Schleck TDF incident where he did not wait up? That one blew up all over the place. However both of these guys seem to be decent and respectful of each other.

It sure looked like Pogacar hit the gas when he saw that Vingegaard had a wobble. Which is totally legit racing.

But Venga waiting was also self-serving. It made Pogacar go back to the front and effectively neutralized a sketchy descent. Both of which are good for keeping a yellow jersey.

Yes. He's up there for Venga. But who knows. He could win the stage it looks like. Maybe he was just telling the team that.

Pogs has done a helluva job Saganing this thing against JV.

It was definitely a classy move to ask him if he was okay. Sitting up and waiting was just smart racing. No need to go solo when you have teammates coming up from behind. Also Pogo hasn't shown he can shake him, so there's not much of a need to try and hit the base of the climb with a gap. Plus I think there's a little mind game there - like Jonas saying I'm worried so little about you beating me that I'm going to wait and let you catch up and we'll battle it out on the last climb.

I think the fat lady has sung for Tamau.... Vinga is definitely holding tight to the yellow and not giving an inch. Pogacar is running out of runway and I can't see him pulling back much time today.
