Did anyone see Stadler start? IM LIVE is saying he may have also been sick...

"Is Normann even in the water?

RACETIME: 00:02

We have heard from one of Normann Stadler's sponsors that he's been sick over the last couple of days, and might not have got in the water this morning."

I can't recall losing it at all last year, certainly not this much this early.

Any confirmation of Normann in trouble or not there? If so it's Macca's race to lose.

No kidding. Does not bode well for the rest of the day.

The dramatic start they keep talking about is the AG start, not the pro start.

"why they sing the US national anthem"

Last I checked, Hawaii was part of the USA....
Last I checked, NOBODY plays their national anthem before a WORLD championship, but we all know it isn't. It the Triathlon Tour de France (but the French don't play their national antem either). Anyway, let's go back to the race, that's all what matters.

Usually you don't get any breaks until after the turnaround boats.. I expect that one or two groups will form there, I saw a couple of half body lenght gaps on the way out, and that usually means that people are being stressed....

"I'm going with a rookie in the womens, Leanda Cave"

nice choice Monty! I dont think she can beat Natascha first time out but will be a solid second. (Natascha will catch her somewhere in the Energy Lab....)
