Alex...monster day. Almost in the Yasterbov 300 pt zone...

congrats on gold club. Looks like a lot of people will get there.
Thanks Dev,
I just hope that I don't fall a sleep during dinner or the humour show tonight, my girlfriend is going to kill me....

I guess the club thing is great because it seems to gives a little extra motivation to people than just a single total. Hope that we have as many possible athletes in the Gold Club.

Thanks again for putting on this event, I can't wait for the Lake Placid Virtual Camp (June 24th - Until July 3rd) same period as the Iron-tour... :)

Please,
Take a few minutes to details me your workouts from monday to friday so I can post them in the scoring details page.

cool, I'd rather be Jacob Piil than Jacky Durand. jacob logged more than 1500 K in the 2004 Tour de France with his nose in the wind in front of the peleton playing rabbit, putting his sponsor's name (unfortunatley I have non other than my family) on TV and also getting some kick ass results. He'd be glad to know that I have put a P3 and Soloist to work in this effort...

Looks like we'll have at least 10 in the Gold club and Nancy with that huge 290 point day. That is definitely pro zone material and must be Yasterbov approved.

Tomorrow, if I can get a window of 4.5 hours (not sure I can pull that off), I hope for an aerobic 4 hour ride + 30 min run. Today was a hard day with 30 min of Olympic tri race pace stuff on the run and on the bike (spread over 3.5 hours). My legs feel it right now. I think the ice packs are going on the quads tonite...

Can't wait to see the postings from Trevor and Allan tonite...

Thanks:O)..however, I'll be stuck in gold. Even though I have a long run tomorrow, it isn't going over 200 pts. My pool is open and I could sneak in an extra swim but a holiday dinner will probably cutting that out of the picture. This was fun and pushed me a bit more....thanks again!

A beautiful day in Ontario's wine country for an easy 3:34 ride followed by a :44 transition run for 136 on the day.

1240 so far with a day off tomorrow. The platinum club is tempting but I'm taking tomorrow off and starting a recovery week on Monday so it doesn't look like I'm gonna make it.

Saturday: Battenkill-Roubaix

Read my race report:

http://forum.slowtwitch.com/...;;page=unread#unread

Add on an extra hour, so with warmup, 4 hours. Do a 15 minute run after, even though I am tired, just to get some points.

120 + 15 = 135 points

647 to start the day

New total: 782 points

Get my bronze medal ready, the silver is out of reach.

I did a Kus approved 200 point day Dev

swim : 1:00 = 45 points

run: 1:10 = 70 points

bike 3:08 = 94 points (it was so windy today it made me feel like I was back on the Queen K in 2004 except that it was 14C instead of around 31C!)

total for Saturday = 209 points

total so far = 180 + 202.5 + 142.5 + 153.75 + 138.75 + 125.75 + 102 + 209 = 1254.25 points

Here's my "Wuss" approved 100 pt day.

Honeydo list was long today. So nothing long. Main objective again was not to raid the kid's cereal boxes. Didn't touch the cereal but I did discover that Clif Shot French Vanilla Recovery with some Spicy Captain Morgan rum and crushed ice tastes f'n great! :-)

08/15/06

Early AM: Bike Ride on Fixed for 75 minutes for 37.5 pts

PM: Swim 60 minutes for 45 pts.

PM2: Run EZ for 30 minutes for 30pts.

Day Total: 112.5 pts.

Camp Total: 1134 pts.

Well, this is dismal. I think I should quit.

But alas, I continue....not training, yet training.
Wed - nothing
Thurs - nothing
Friday - 5 hours of snowboarding and 5.5 of driving. That's got to be good for something.
Saturday - 2.5 hours of cycling outside. 75 points.
1 hr of swimming. 45 points. Total = 115
That brings me to 313. Solid. Only 800+ to go. Watch out Dev, here I come!

Day 8 Update.

I did a 4.5 hour MTB ride, which I must say should be worth more than .5 points per minute, especially when it is 90 degrees and a good 50% of the ride is through a painful rock garden trail.

And I did 45 minutes on my local trails (running) so all in all I am knackered and ready for a good nights rest. But, word from the frau is that we are going out, whether I can stand up or not. Hmmm....

Points: MTB 4.5 hours = 135 points + Run 45 minutes = 45 points for a daily total of 180 points

Running 8 day total = 1110
