1) Average watts: 233/ 255 np
2) average speed: 23.1 mph
3) distance 15 mi
4) weight: 174 lbs
5) TM02 (old frame style); 80 mm wheels front and back
6) happy with ride; flatfish, still having struggle pushing power out of the water. Cars on course + crowding at times contributed to a higher VI with braking and hammering out of stops.

How are you calculating your ftp? Seems odd to have an ftp higher than what you hold for a 20k tt? Would say that based on this ftp is likely around 315

You should go much faster than 24.2 on 332 watts, especially at 157 lbs

Some of these are pretty serious speeds and powers. I'd assume most all of these are done using a power meter given how serious the efforts are.

What % of these posted are from real power meters and which are "Strava watts"? I think everyone should post up what meter they are using also and perhaps the course's elevation.

one should go much faster than 24.2 on 332 watts & 157 lbs even on a road bike. I'd kvetch about doing 25 mph on 300W on a road bike

Not sure how I can possibly follow Kevin (congratulations!!!), but this is an interesting one for the question of how much faster a full TT rig is over a road bike.

~20k TT, two runs.

Run #1:

1) 293
2) 28 mph
3) 12.443 miles
4) 172 lbs
5) Cervelo P4 with Renn disc rear, Zipp 808 front. Castelli skinsuit, Kask Bambino helmet
6) This is my "normal" TT setup.

Run #2:

1) 295
2) 26.2 mph
3) 12.443 miles
4) 172 lbs
5) 2015 Giant TCR Advanced Pro, 42cm drop bars, left on bottle cages, generic 38mm carbon tubulars. Castelli skinsuit, Kask Protone helmet, Premier chain.
6) This is my "normal" road setup.

The event offered a "non-aero" category, so I did my second run on my road bike. Same skinsuit, but had to change helmets to comply with the "non-aero" rules. I could have used an aero bottle (I didn't) or borrowed some deeper wheels (discs were not allowed, but no limit on rim depth). Also gave myself a nice ~30M gap between starts, so I was somewhat recovered for run #2.

Note that this is at ~5800' elavation, with fairly calm air and temperatures in the 80's. I've got fast equipment, a decent position, and I pace properly, but the thinner air gives me a lot of "free" speed.

Just a funny observation:

https://www.strava.com/activities/1084932466

It's funny that Strava estimated me at 81 watts for this mountain bike race.
If I had to guess I'd say I had the effort of 190 watts (~85%)

1. 81
2. 11.0 mph
3. 13.4 miles
4. 144 lbs
5. 2010 Cannondale RZ 120,
6. Xterra Versailles

Nice job Kevin. Amazed that Dan Bryant put out about 100 watts more than you on the same track on the same day, and went nearly 2k less. There is so much that goes into riding a bike fast.

You need to rotate your pelvis forward lay down on top tube, and try to touch your chin to the aero bars.
