No. It was on "display" at Eurobike. Rumour has it that it will be able to be both UCI-legal and Non-UCI legal. I heard it's an adjustable seatpost/seattube.

Hidden in a box with a small viewing window and strobe lights to keep things hidden.

From what I've been told it's very much in the same line of thinking of the Plasma 5 and its piers: the structure of the bike is UCI legal while storage and hydration add ons make it a bit faster and UCI illegal.

To be honest I do not really care how a bike looks as long as it is fast but we know how this will be spun and no matter what happens it will be marketed as the fastest Cervelo ever made (with disc brakes).

We know that Cervelos have always tested independently fast or fastest of the bunch and have an outstanding track record with their aero offerings, yes. This will be stated as being the most aero bike they (or anyone else) has ever made, and they'd be right

Cervelo marketing loves this logic. Keep in mind that a company is just an organization of people, and most of the people responsible for the past excellence of Cervelo have moved on to new pastures. See the Diamondback Andean. See the (forthcoming) Cannondale TT bike. See the Open UP. See the 3T Exploro. I could go on.

The latest offerings from Cervelo are aesthetically abysmal and likely aerodynamically so as well. This bike will be a flop...I'm calling it right now -- and at that price, it will be "The Homer" of the cycling industry. I'd rather be seen on an Omni.

You realize the same lead aerodynamicist is still there, right? You know, the one that actually designed the P5, Ivan Sidorovich. The guy who developed Cervelo's in house cfd codes, and worked on the S5.

Yeah, sorry any commentary that Cervelo is about to put out an aerodynamically poor product is just plain silly. Aesthetics, who knows!!

I'm disappointed nobody simply tore down the booth to have a proper look inside...

For whatever type of device you are using to browse, just select the photo, then "copy", and in the ST Reply to post editor use "paste" to get the photo inserted. For Windows this would be the old <ctrl-c> and <ctrl-v> for copy and paste keyboard shortcuts.

I'll give you another reason.

The leaked pics show a disc brake.

WTC seem to have a current position of no disc brakes allowed as per uci rules.

Perfect example is Ironman Barcelona this weekend has no disc brakes allowed.

Cervelo would want to be getting WTC to announce a change in policy for their launch or its all useless really isn't it?

Perhaps they will have a version with standard brakes, but not as aero.
So then it's just another beam bike with perhaps a bit better aero tubing.

Personally, I dislike the look of beam bikes and see it as a somewhat smaller niche market of the triathlon market.
Cervelo may well prove this to be incorrect but judging by feedback it does seem to be a love hate thing.

I'm guessing kona is allowing discs if Freddie is to race on it but not great if the rules are not universal for other ironman races as per Barcelona.
