I put down some fairly heavy mileage on the bike, and I'm starting to worry about overuse injuries since I heard about Phil Southerland, manager/founder of Team Type 1.

For running, I roll my IT band and stretch my calves to prevent patella tracking issues... there must be something I can do to prevent this from happening on the bike.

Some background info for those not familiar:
Quote:
"This damage, or arteriopathy appears to cause the arteries to stretch, narrow or kink in such a way that during high-intensity exercise the athlete experiences decreased blood flow due to the constriction or obstruction of the artery in the affected leg. This lack of blood flow, or ischemia, causes pain, burning, weakness, and powerlessness during exercise."
