You mean Jordan didn't take a wrong turn? I hope he pulls this one out!

Looks like my longshot picks are still in play. Jordan is gaining on the leaders, but the guys behind him are gaining on him. Bonney is having a great day out there, he usually is done near the end of the bike, must have been putting in some running miles lately..

Erika is off and running, only she can beat herself now. Her pace is much faster than anyone behind, she just has to hold even from here on in. How is the heat there by the way?? It is in the hig 90's in LA today. Broke a record yesterday too at 95.....

Let's just hope he doesn't take the lead until the Finisher's Chute!

Ok, here is my new update

Jonny is still in 6th and currently 4 minutes behind 5th. Not sure if there will be enough real estate but he is running strong.

Bonney is looking tired but might be able to hold out. Major is the real threat but doubtful that there is enough road for him to pull it off. It will definitely be an exciting finish!

Jordan is running with the cool wings. I thought he would dump them for the run but probably a good idea with the heat.

Wow. I go out for a long run (includes some drive time to pick up and drop off running buddy) and return and they're still racing. Can only mean one thing - I'm running faster!

So now I gotta catch up on this thread and the race update. Go TJ!

Is anyone tracking the ST age-groupers from the roll call thread?

Any progress reports, outstanding splits, withdrawals, etc???

Yeah, this is by far the worst live coverage I've ever witnessed. Cutting over to the finish line? The pros are still running. Grant it the Pro guys are almost done, but Come on

they've switched to the finish line camera. by the way, seems they are practicing for the "multi" breaking the tape session. Is it just me that thinks that ONLY the first place man and first place woman should BREAK the tape? maybe a good topic for a thread...

I'd think they're a really good thing to have on while running.

I wonder how long it takes him to put on those compression socks though? He's been rocking them for a lot longer than they've been hip, so obviously he's practiced at it.

Just for comparison, Jonny went 8:50:56 last year at IMAZ. Even with a flat it looks like he's going to shatter that!

Go Jonny- finish STRONG!

I don't know about any paticular ST'ers, but Jeff Cuddeback who is argueably the best AG'er our sport has ever seen, is off the bike in about 5:55. If he has one of his good runs, he should be in the 9:15 or better range, not too bad for a guy that will be racing Hawaii at 50 years old.....
