For those of you who like Dead Guy, and Guinness, I urge you to try Abita Turbodog. Best beer going right now.

And a second for Bell's Oberon, and Two Hearted Ale, and about anything else Bell's does.

What does Coors Light and screwing a woman in a canoe have in common?

They are both fucking close to water.

i'm pretty sure czechvar and bud are totally unrelated except that Bud 'stole' the name budwieser and trademarked it in the US and most of the world. Czechvar is called budweiser only in the czech republic and spain i think because they own the trademark in those countires.

I'm pretty sure Czechvar isn't "Rice-brewed" :-P

Hmmm. Perhaps it was a Unibroue product: Blanche de Chambly? Maudite? La Fin De Monde?

For these cold fall days I am drinking:

1) Cameron's Auburn Ale

2) Neustadt's 10W30

Exellent choices here....I'm getting thirsty! Let me add Duval, and St Bernardus, two exceptional Belgian beverages. Also, anything from the tapper in Germany!

Couple other catagories...

Breakfast beer = Guinness - In the can, not the bottle. Better than a coffee

Lunch beer = Stella (Artois)- can actually return to work after, if you sleep for a living.

Happy Hour = Corona, tecati, anything with salt and lime, can drink 50 and still feel ok

College beer = Schaffer Light - cheap and easy - plus best Motto in beer.."The beer to have when you are having more than one"

Desert Beer = Guinness - preferably off a well run tap

Ball game beer = Bud. I swear it only tastes good with a crappy ball park hot dog, and for $7 you really savor it.

Party Beer = Free Beer, usually crap, but what do you care its usually free!

i'm sure we paid for that somehow. product placement is huge.

You can imagine the ARMY of marketing people that we have. They get the big bucks by sitting around thinking of which beer should go to which movie/tv show or whatever. They DID do a nice job with the taste great/less filling campaign from 2 years ago. You guys remember that?

A few weeks ago I had my first Dead Guy Ale and also enjoyed it. I like Bass Ale, Guinness, SIerra Nevada IPA, Sam Adams Octoberfest and I enjoy several of Harpoon's products. Give them a try if you get the chance, they are big supporters of tri and mtb teams in the Boston Area (i get no profit from this btw). I am always looking to try new brown and scottish ales....

The pabst brewery? how long ago? that place hasn't existed in years I thought. Miller has been contract brewing that stuff (and sam adams and a bunch else) for quite a few years.

I was young, it was a trip with my dad, he had a friend working in administration there who took us to the brewery.

I was impressed with the Kona Brewery line. Funny - a 6 pack on the island was $9 at a gas station less than 2 blocks from the brewery, at my local ABC here in Orlando it's 6.95.

Flying Dog In Heat Wheat - what a great name and very tasty.

Pretty much every beer I get in the mail from www.worldbeerdirect.com.

Wow, so many good beers out there that it is hard to choose one. Some favorites:

Kiltlifter and 8th St. Ale - Fourpeaks Brewery Tempe, AZ

Nosferatu (seasonal) - Great Lakes Brewing Cleveland, OH

Goose Island Oatmeal Stout (seasonal) - Goose Island Bewing Chicago, IL

Hazed and Infused - can't remeber the brewer, but it is AWESOME!!

Alaskan Amber - Alaskan Amber Brewing Ankorage, AK

I don't like to to be able to see through my beer. Bout the only time I do is by the pool in the heat of the AZ summer, and then it is Corona.

guinness is the easy choice...but I also distinctly remember enjoying Upper Canada Lager when I lived in buffalo. We raced a lot in canada for rowing, and usually brought some back with us. Also Sam Adams came out with and Old Fizziwig brew one year...that was heaven in a bottle.

Sometimes, I must admit, Rolling Rock really hits the spot. I have no idea why...but an ice cold rolling rock really does it for me at times. Which is in stark contrast to my normal taste in beer.

Speight's

It's a cruel joke because I can't find anywhere to buy it (short of going back to NZ)

Beer I'd want if stuck on a deserted island - Sierra Nevada.

Beer I'd want if stuck in a snow storm - Guiness.

Beer I had last night - Smithwick Irish Ale.

Its all good - just some are better than others.

Some yeast strains can really effect people differently. I can't drink Red Tail Ale by Mendocino Brewing Company. One sip and my nose stuffs right up and I can't breath for hours.

all of the flying dog ales are excellent.

also most of the sam adams stuff - the cranberry lambic is the real champagne of beers if you ask me

I love the sam adams porter also, but it's impossible to find here in FL.

I really don't like the octoberfest or summer ale.

and of course, guinness is the standard....

Guinness.

Although I did have a friend from Texas buy me a couple o' Shiner Bocks one night and really enjoyed those.

Of course, I don't drink anymore, save for the occasional O'douls.
