I think this is Lionel’s to lose. Everyone is sick... If he IS 4 minutes down from the swim I think he has it. (At least I hope)!

I think it really matters where you are in your sickness cycle. Some folks just shut it down right away, like Simmonds did, and she had the race of her life. Others take a day or two off and try and come back too early, and then end up still being on the upswing, or barley over the top of the illness. Seems like Sam got through it, so he could be good today, not sure about Blu. He seems to have a cold at every big race there is, but never seems to slow him down enough for the back markers to take advantage..

And this field is not really that deep or top heavy either, so he could win it with a 90% day, like he did at St George

Good for you being able to sit back with a cold one and just watch the whole race. I do plan to be up at 6am for the super league race tomorrow, so I can have my pot of coffee and watch some super exciting triathlon racing...

No I believe it is from London, they race in the late afternoon for that series, so puts it easy morning here.

Swim is out really fast, maybe Varga??

Haha. I came to post the same thing. Hours of uninterrupted waiting only to break to commercial 2:30 into the swim. Perfect!

SO anyone staying up for the mens race today? I got sucked in too late last nite and payed for it today, but looks like you can pause the YouTube feed and then watch it in the morning when you get up, so just swim and some bike for me tonight. And an on time start will help too..

Sounds like a lot of guys are sick, Jason out and Blu with a cork in his ass and Sam with the Hershey squirts. I know wrong thread, but maybe Lionels day to pick up the sick pieces!!!

You know too much??? About the wrong things.

I am watching for now, big pack can tell Lionel by that left arm lateral slap and right arm hurry in the swim.

It would be awesome if Jackson laundry won on a ventum . That is all haha

Marc Dubrick just looks amazing gapping everyone else, of course you would expect the top swimming in the WC to have a phenomenal technique but he does look amazing in the water and looks effortless.

Blummenfelt/Long/Sanders is quite the chase pack on the bike

Is there somewhere to see splits without having to use the mobile app?

Except it was t him, he was the one opening up the gap to the leader, Justis

Great swim for Sam and Lionel, the wetsuits really help those guys. Not the game is going to be not to get a penalty

Lots of accordioning with those roundabouts. Will the referees use any discretion?

They just mentioned, that they´d expect a lot of racers stopped at the penalty tents. Have seen plenty of drafting this morning already :O

PTO turned this race into an age grouper race! To think we had Frodo, Gomez and Brownlee all rock up on that start list a few years ago!
