I tried to find prednisone on there a few times. Recently I couldn't find it (though I recall finding it before). Do you have a link? It is one of the go to prescriptions of our family doc when someone has a really bad sinus infection.

The latest release notes 4 sanctions from the Anemia Patient Group website investigation.
I only see 3 sanction announcements so far, so we probably will see another one next week.
It will be interesting to see how deep this one goes.

1. Caffeine is not banned.
2. Things like albuterol inhalers (Short acting bronchodilator) are limited to 1,600mcg. Each dose of your typical albuterol is approximation 90mcg. This means you'd need to take 18 puffs to reach the limit. If you need to take 18 puffs, you probably shouldn't be racing or should be on a different medication.
3. Inhalers like Symbicort Which are a Steriod and a long-acting bronchidilator are not limited based on the steroid (Budesonide) but on the Formoterol (long acting bronchodilator). The limit is 54 mcg of formoterol, which is dosed at 4.5mcg / puff. That means 12 servings when the recommended dose is 2 puffs twice daily.

No TUE is needed unless you plan on taking way way way more than indicated.

4. Prednisone is prohibited in competition, but no out of competition.
5. Vicks and other cough / cold / flu are often on the list.

There are some items people do not realize are on the prohibited list.

A great example is Zach Lund, Olympic Skeleton Slider who was banned for Finasteride... aka Propecia! I will vouch that Zach had the Male Pattern Baldness that he used Propecia for, but it got him popped in 2006. He had been reporting it to USADA for years prior, when it wasn't even on the prohibited list. They added it to list, without him knowing, and he got nailed. Missed a year of competition, but was never able to slide as well. In 2009 they took it off the list.

The only OTC use, I know of, for betamethasone is in a topical cream which is not banned.
As long as you're not injecting it, swallowing it or putting it in your butt, you're good to go.

DHEA is banned. People get hit for that.

I'll only add that a few certain inhalers are banned:

"Bricanyl Turboinhaler" (terbutaline sulfate)

This one is not as much of an issue in the U.S. but is still assigned by GP's in Canada.

Been enjoying your posts with Mag900. I get what you are saying. You are following the principle on the point of a cheater is a cheater and should be enforced equally. I also appreciate Mags position. What I see though is the inconsistency, especially when it comes to IM's. There was a similar thread where if an 16hr finish got outside support they should get the same dq as a podium finisher..........................Here is the inconstancy though, I would be willing to bet at any IM, especially when you get past 14hrs, there are at least 200 people that break a rule. Family coming on the course and walking with a quarter mile. Wife giving husband something unintentional at the 16 hr mark. Two rider in the 8hr range riding together. Watch whats going on at the late stages of many slow bikers and walkers. This has been going on for 15 years now......if not more.
So i get what you are saying, but if that is to be followed, all rules should be enforced with all time finishers. That just does not and will not happen.
my 2 cents...........................if it matters to someone that they got 622nd instead of 621st, I think they are in this for the wrong reasons. I realize many will disagree with that statement. thats ok

Nope I do not think so. The ones claiming in this thread and the other make no distinction, look at their responses. Does not matter to me. I could care less. But to the ones that do care, they say, all cheating is cheating. My perspective is not lost, i in fact agree with you

Can you explain why they would feel comfortable sharing their doping with eachother, perhaps even one teaching the other how to inject EPO, but keep it a complete secret from you for years? Did they know that the two of them were totally cool with cheating but that you were ethical and they knew to just keep it a secret from you? Seems odd....
