No one has triathlete watts @trail, we all know that. Tom D wasn't strong enough to be a triathlete, that's why he settled for the bike.

And lucky for TD that Lionel didn’t want to be a pro cyclist and take his spot in peloton.

Did the UCI eventually produce their own recaps?
Hopefully after realizing that Flobikes totally sucks.

I thought the Flo coverage was "OK" - video feeds were quality. But I feel for the one guy announcing. I feel announcing really requires at least two people to pull off well.

Flo coverage was disappointing this year. Next year it'll be having a team called Visma Lisa Bike be the #1 in world.

Men's race at Superprestige Overijse is straight fire. Best tactical CX race I've seen in a while with the Saucers vs. Kittens.

Don't know the outcome as I'm watching the last lap.

Until it wasn’t. Great race, kid made and aggressive move, bummer of a wipeout.

Speaking of the kid, I just listened to Sven on Life In The Peloton. Absolutely cracking interview, whether someone likes CX or not, or knows a lot or little about it. Sepp was on another episode, which is also a great listen.

How about GvA winning a gravel triathlon (the SGRail 100 which I think is Jan's event) in Spain this weekend? I didn't see that coming.

This is the new thing, apparently. Works for some guys, not sure it's a great idea for everyone. E.g., Quinn Simmons is clearly a World Tour talent, but has struggled to maintain form through a season so far. Wonder if a more Luke Lamperti-like progression would make sense. And Luke is still only *20* going into this first year with the Wolfpack.

I guess teams now just have FOMO of missing out on "the next Evenepoel/Pog".

I'm curious if you know whether or not he will be able to continue a CX program?

So… when are we going to talk about the TdF parcours?

Feel bad for Cav not getting another crack at the Champs, or a final day sprint.

I think a lot of sprinters drop out early. Overall, its a pretty nice parcours with multiple nice 30+ minute climbs.

We knew a while ago that the last day would be in Nice vs Paris, so that was already in the package when he signed up

No one considered a ITT on the Final Day, I'm sure

Let's hope for a real banger of a final stage - with that parcours, after 3 weeks of tough racing, there could still be a chance for a big swing in the GC. Imagine Pogi, Venga, Remco, and Primo all within striking distance of each other heading into that one. Drama.

I think they've done some cool stuff in the TdFFaZ too - a double stage day on the second day (short sprint stage + short ITT), coming up with a route that basically combines Amstel Gold with LBL on stage 4, and then the huge Col du Glandon/Alpe d'Huez double-feature on the final day.

The start in Firenze has me looking up airfares. I don't think they are actually doing any Strada Bianca, correct? "Just" a few Apennine climbs, I think.

Another GT with interesting stages right from the get-go.

Yeah, it's funny how any "gravel" in grand tours, and it's called the "Strade stage," just like if there's 5K of cobbles it's the "Roubaix stage."

Maybe it's time to consider Monument status for Strade. I certainly look forward to it in a similar way.

The absence of the white roads probably explains why Remco is looking forward to the Giro-Tour double. He bled two minutes on 30 km worth of Strade Bianche last time. Granted, he's probably better now, but that might be a no-go situation for him.

There is a Tour stage with 32k of gravel, think it’s like 7 or 9. Remco is already complaining about it.

It's gonna be three weeks of each team trying to bank as much time on their rivals as they can before they literally sprint into Nice

It could be brutal

I bet we see Remco do Strade as race prep for the Tour. Similar to when Bernal showed up leading into that Giro.

haha what a perfect post. Nairoman back to the very desperate Movistar.

Edit: Perhaps this means Valverde is ready to announce his comeback for a trident reunion.
