Rickpcfl was just here in Minneapolis with his wife. My son and I took them out fossil hunting and we had a great time.

I have gotten along well with everyone I have met from the LR. The only constant in those meetings is me. I suppose that means I am the fantastic one 😉

who's smarter than you're? i'm!

And you get to meet the man himself, king of this sandbox and hall of famer slowman in the flesh. Provided we don't stroke out or have a heart attack before then...Lots of cheap flights from everywhere to here too, we have 4 airports you can fly into within 90 minutes..

Sorry, but, Cuba is the only communist country I am inclined to visit.

Not even Canada?

I can confirm what a fun time it is! Instead of the margarita mile, we could do the shot of whisky mile. And Monty is a great cook. Or, y'all could come to Nashville.

Womens weekend is super-fun! I guess if some Mens come it would potentially be fun, too. Might need to rent some of those sumo wrestling suits for when political differences need settling once and for all.

i'm partial to denver. could make chicago no problem.
kansas city is the most centralized city for both coasts.
(plus it's my home town so i'd get to see family and friends also while i'm there.
and i'd have plenty of free places to crash.)

I’d be happy to host all you jackasses at LOTO. Hell, we might even be able to track down Jim. Smack dab in the middle of flyover country, so equidistant to all.

That's a very gracious invitation. But, California...

[EDIT: Sorry, I can't get the snarky CA image to load.] ;-)

On a smaller scale, if any LR denizens are going to be at IMCDA this year (sorry, BLeP), let me know. I'll buy the first round of beers. :-)

Down with the CDA idea. I think I'll be volunteering this year but regardless find myself up there every other weekend or so.

Ah, Monty. He's such a good looking guy that he lists himself as 'some of the best views you can get' for the ladies in the brochure.

I have a brochure?? I dont even have a website yet.. We are really a low stress operation around here. I just offered up my place because it would be cheap, in a nice setting, and you can get here pretty cheap from just about anywhere. Weather is pretty nice too. I can also offer you all a loaner bike to ride, we have a bunch of Tri, road, MTB, and Gravel bikes on the property, along with Dans Woodway treadmill. Although we have the best hiking/running you can imagine. You can run on the PCT from our house, and it is deserted by now too, all those guys should be hitting the Sierras soon.

Anyway no one is going to agree on any one place, I have done these things before. You just have to find a spot and time that most people can go, and it isnt a horrible travel. So let me know where you guys want to do this, I will try to make it wherever it ends up. It sounds like a good time, maybe a spot where folks can get a room and others can roll up in their RV's!!!(which by the way is my place)

I vote Denver and can offer up being a guide for local rides or hikes around Boulder or I can drive people to some epic rides like Pikes Peak or Mt. Evan's. We can hit the casino's, maybe plan this around a concert at Red Rocks.

Windywave would host, but, I don't think you can get Zima in kegs.

I agree. If you're going to come to Canada, come to a part of it that actually wants to be in Canada.

I think we need a ruling since this seems suspiciously close to banned material (and also a lame way to have a group event)
