Yay, a "sports scientist" telling the coaching community that they're all wrong for putting an emphasis on the kick. I like Gold Medal Mel's comment. Essentially, "yeah, that's a nice theory, now show me your work"
And for fly he's just wrong. If you've ever pulled a fly set, you know that the kick is definitely propulsive.
