Happy holidays fishies! I asked a question several weeks ago about a monofin...well Santa Claus brought me the Finis Trainer 1. I had to get in and try it after opening the other presents and helping my wife get the spread ready.
To cut to the chase, it was freakin' hard to get used to the monofin. I could not get the kick action down compared to when I wear my TYR burners and I actually started turning sideways underwater. I guess this means either I'm not coordinated enough to use this tool or I have an extremely inefficient kick and this tool exacerbates the problem. I did eight lengths of the pool before ditching them and going back to the burners.
Looking for someone out there to provide some tips on what I might need to do. HELP!
BTW, other than the failed monofin attempt, I swam (scy):
400 warmup
Fin drills
60x50 (cuz 50 wasn't enough) on 60sec. as 10 long stroke, 10 B-3, 10 B-4, 10 (odds easy, evens fast), 12 as 3x(build, moderate, build, easy), 8 (odds easy, evens fast).
150 warmdown.
