Hey, if Maester Qyburn can reanimate The Mountain as FrankenVader, and could build the Giant Crossbow to shoot the dragons, why can't be build Jamie a decent artificial hand?

He'd just need a donor, and some way to bolt it on?

...I'm hoping he's her valonqar, not Tyrion (hoping he's Targaryen)

Kid behind a curtain with a shotgun.

Seriously though, that would be a cool nod to the book fans if they stuck her in there.

There was also a nod to the "still rowing" internet meme.

Yeah, Ser Davos has some of the best lines of the episode. "Don't mind me, I've just managed to live a long life"!

The whole battle scene, didn't care it Jamie or Bronn or Dany or Dickon (!!! :) ) died, but Drogon? Hell no!

'Tis just a flesh wound.

Had to wait until now to look at this since I couldn't watch until tonight.

Excellent episode. Dracarys!!!

Jon's sword is Valyrian steel, it was given to him by Jorah Mormont's father so I was expecting that to get a mention when those 2 met.

Needle isn't Valyrian, it's just regular steel made specially for Arya. That's why her getting the dagger is significant as it gives her the ability to kill white walkers.

I like a lot of your theory. A lot is pointing to Jon being outted soon as a Targaryen.
Earlier in this thread there was speculation if Sam could return to head his house. I think Jon will either free him of his commitment to the nights watch or simple let him return home to rule his house. Either reminding him of his oath or a promise of someone to take his place.

I think someone important dies next week. Little worried about Ayra. Her character is getting the right amount of likeable and been important to make it a shocking death.

Well, Sam says he is, but that they left the evidence behind: https://www.usatoday.com/...-targarye/572678001/

Anyone watched episode 6 yet?

I have to say, there doesn't seem to be much GRR Martin influence this season as a whole. Way too much deus ex machina going on.

The travel time is also getting annoying in that people seem to be able to travel long distances in a blink of eye.

suspension of disbelief, brother. that, and the ravens back then flew exceptionally fast. likewise, the dragons, once they got up a head of steam.

My guess is fire. Like the writers said, now he's got his own weapon of mass destruction. That's a double-whammy for sure.

Now they're implying that the season finale will show all sides coming to some sort of entente or an outright alliance to defeat the Night King.

I'm guessing ice.

The time travel stuff is getting annoying. As well stuff just appearing like the giant chains they used to drag the dragon out of the water. Or was it an ambush? But then how would the army of the dead know about the dragons.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I think you're right. After all, they're coming from the North and the region of ice and snow and it'd stand to reason any weapon they'd use -- such as that dead dragon -- would spread ice, which would be devastatingly effective down in the south and at King's Landing. Those pink-skinned folk would probably drop in their tracks just from one exhalation of that zombie dragon's breath. ;-)

Yeah, fire for me also. Viserion is still a dragon. A dead one, but a dragon nonetheless.

Anyone who thinks Cersei is not going to try and (indirectly) use the Night King to weaken or kill her enemies really hasn't been paying attention.

I'm voting fire just because they need something to punch a hole in the Wall.

Decent episode but waaaaay too much ex machina going on. If that was a GRRM written episode half of our new favorite characters would be dead, not just a bunch of random red shirts.

Also does the Hound not watch The Walking Dead? Don't poke the bear....
