STAGE 10 *** SPOILER***
Seems to be one mechanical after another today.

51k to go

I'll guess Cav grabs this one. He wants redemption for only grabbing 2 so far.

Cav has 2 stages already, but I agree that he'll be gunning for another today, and HTC look to be doing plenty of work to reel in that breakaway...

Will contador go on the cat 4??

That would be pretty tough to stay away on the run in...

Anyone know why Heinrich Haussler isn't riding with GC? Is he just a classics rider?

I think it will be a throwback... all the way back... to 2010.

A drag race between Cav and Petacchi.

Petacchi wins it.

Tough stage to call. If HTC sets a hard pace up the climb (which is a Milan-SanRemo type climb) it may shed Cav and set up Goss.

If they try to set a pace for Cav, other teams may try to push it. Should be interesting.

As for Contador attacking-it's a long way to the finish and he would gain nothing as the other contenders wouldn't even need to follow because they could bring him back before the finish. So no.

HUGE move by gilbert. 14k is a lot of road left but if anyone can stay away its gilbert.

I wouldn't under-estimate Cav's ability to hang on for the climb. He's never going to stay with the leaders in a full-on mountain stage because he knows he hasn't got a hope of a victory, but when he just needs to hang in for one last climb to give himself a shot at a sprint finish he is plenty strong enough (and probably more importantly for him, motivated enough) to do whatever is needed.

(waits for cav to get dropped like a stone now...)

Nobody was underestimating him. Hes horrible at it. The estimation is merely correct =)

With Tony Martin in the move, LT and BMC must chase. I think Goss takes this one, though I prefer Thor.

*edit-Cav is in the chase, nevermind!

this is just bad ass. voeckler makes the move for mountain points, gilbert rides the voeckler train to the top, now the yellow jersey riding the gilbert train to the finish!

I dont think I've ever seen the yellow and green attack this late in a stage together before. Bravo for this!

If the time is right, that only 11 secs is the gap, there is no way the break lasts.
