My first Tri Bike at Collegiate Nationals 2003, 2002 Quintana Roo Kilo Size 55cm with 650c wheels. The evolution continues. What is the pinnacle of the triathlon bike now? Specialized Transition, Cervelo P3C, Kuota Kueen K, BMC TT01, Guru Crono? Interested in opinions.
haha! i don't own that either!! IM Lou hotels were alot of money, so my parents and I set up camp 20 minutes away on the Illinois side of the river for $100 for 5 days
Thanks for the nice comments. Actually, all I did was go to a place that makes decals and bought a couple foot piece of decal material and made it myself. Then I went to an auto shop and bought pin-stripping tape to outline the design. It worked out pretty well and only cost me about $20. I did the same thing to my helmet too.
I heard Guru Cronos are pretty fast. If you are interested to learn about the bike, not too long ago triathlete magazine covered a one on the pro machine section. I believe a blue one with zipp clinchers and srm... Now why would someone use zipp clinchers??? ;-) Nice ride BTW! _________________________________________________
i looked at the wheel and some of your bike photos.
wow, you do some very nice work. i don't know how in the heck you made/got all this decal pieces to fit so well on your helmet, each spaced perfectly from one another. are you the one that posted the tutorial on how to add the lower tail to aero helmets?
Train hard...race well.[/quote] jim, i think you might 'train harder...and race even faster' if you got your saddle level. your saddle as it is now is just not right.
and if it doesn't feel right to you when it's level, that nearly always means you should lower your seat. (and knowing how tall you are, that seat looks way too high for you.) just 2 cents from my fitting experience.
Yes, I posted last year on how to add an extension on the rear of the helmet and showed the decaling, you can search the posts under my name to see them I think. I still have the instructions to send if anyone is still interested, of course you need to make sure that the organization that you run is will allow this as most do not (mine does).
Boy, there are a lot of great bike pics showing up here. It would be really hard to decide what bike to get if I did not already have one after seeing them all here on this post.
Where did you get that bike stand? -------------------------------------------------------------------- "Lemond is cycling's version of Rev Jessie Jackson." -johnnyperu 5/18/07 "Just because I suck doesn't mean my bike has to" -rickn 9/2/08
