I've been refining (ie actually putting some thought and effort into) my AM routine the past week or so and I've got to say my days are noticeably brighter. Curious if anyone else has some similar approaches to ensure a smoother daily takeoff.
My vitals:
Married
One kid - 8 year old son
two dogs
Wife and kiddo do not get up until 630. Phone stays off until at least then.
5:00 - 5:15am Wake up time - run dogs outside/check on the chickens/get coffee going
5:15 - 5:45am: Dedicated reading for 30-ish minutes
5:45 - 6:15am: Pick up the guitar and practice (usually have a song or skill picked out the night before)
6:15 - 6:30am: Pushups/hindu squats/crunches (nothing major..done in 15 minutes..just getting the blood pumping)
6:30am: The day officially kicks off
I've noticed my mornings are much more positive, I am much more thoughtful, and generally have a enhanced sense of well being. One thing I would like to work in is some form of basic meditation but will likely need to shave time off of reading/guitar to get there as I'm not willing to cut into sleep any farther nor plan on being asleep by 9am (that shit aint happening).
Anyone have something similar in place?
