Yeah, Herb fucked up but Lawler’s arm “went limp” and he may have gone out (but came back).

Bad stoppage in retrospect but it’s hard to fault him for his in the moment decision to stop the fight.

I tentatively agree with you. I think he may have gone out briefly then recovered an instant before the stoppage.

I think at that moment it was a “good” stoppage but with the benefit of the replay we can see that it wasn’t.
