Nike Epic React. I am doing all of my running in different Nikes and Skechers. Five years ago if you had told me that I would run any miles in either Nike or Skechers, I would have scoffed.
Happy Runner book, (written by Megan and Dave Roche--Dave is a long-time poster on this forum--doesn't come around much any more but reading some of his old race reports is always entertaining). I have heard that the book is excellent.

I got my annual pool pass and gym membership and entry fees to whatever swim meets i want. Other than that, I am assuming that I did not get that crappy 2017 Xmas gift that I got to open in June from under a bus which said, "you are just lucky to be alive....now go back to rehab". If my Xmas gift is a normal year, which ideally includes being able to jog, then that will perfect. Other than that, I got my family and good friends. I'm not really much of a toy/materials guy. When my wife told me I could guy a fully loaded Audi A8 or Q7 for my 50th birthday, I returned from car shopping replacing my 6 year old black jetta base model with a new black jetta base model.

Nintendo launched last year a mini version of the SNES, with something like 20 classic games loaded in the memory. What is unfortunate is that you can't use your original games on it, but some russian hacker found a way to load it with more games =D...

EzyDog Road Runner Dog lead to run with my pretty well behaved dog hands-free (I hope; have not tested yet). A replacement Garmin HRM chest strap (elastic shot after about 2 years). Nathan bottle and waist harness that holds the bottle in the small of your back. Plenty of non-training stuff. But I did buy myself three new pairs of Zoot shoes from Shoebacca (with all the discounts, about $75 for all three pairs!). So many packages arriving over the last 2-3 weeks, spouse never noticed the giant Shoebacca box - or didn't ask about it!

Having already purchased the new Trek SC this year and prepaying our annual ski winter in Montana, the discretionary fund was heading in the same direction as the S&P 500 (not counting today's dead cat bounce). The wife said "let's not exchange gifts this year" but I know what that really means...
Some nice warm base layer stuff, new ski gloves and boot heaters for me.
New Oakley MIPS helmet for the Mrs.
Nice family gathering with a rack O' lamb dinner, no stress and ready for ski season. I've gained about 5 lbs but that only helps me ski faster.

Ooh nice boots. Some Beer Steins are very delicate and ornate, did yours come with a lid or did you go Munich Hofbräuhaus 2l style?
We were in Munich this past October and I didn’t buy one. My parents lived in Germany from 1968-1970 when my dad was stationed in Bamberg. They bought 2 of them then and have been sitting in a China cabinet ever since. Passed on to my wife and I now. The steins are very nice with ornate metal lids.

It was like magic, whenever I was getting on the trainer and needed zwift she would need the computer for something else. Hopefully the iPad resolves this issue and leads to marital bliss.

My camelback has a neoprene sleeve over the hose. And also has a foam cover over the bite valve for even more protection (when needed).
Also, take more frequent small sips, so that there is a constant stream of warmer liquid in the hose.
I might need the vodka to get through my 100/100 runs today.

It does not, but I'm going to see if I can find one of those "hose sweaters" as a friend of mine describes them... Frequent sips might help prevent static water from crystallizing in the hose/valve. The water in the pack itself is fine, since I throw off more than enough heat to keep that from freezing...
