Sorry Kevin - I admit to knowing very little about hockey and its players - I'm originally from Texas and football rules down there. I suppose to a Canadian it must be something like blasphemy to misspell the name of Gretzky.
This was the slogan/song of the Swiis Gigathlon 2002. The Gigathlon (www.gigathlon.ch) was a 7-day race. Every day you swam, biked, cycled, inline skated and run between . A single athlete swam 25km, biked 305km, cycled 795km, inline slated 173km and run 181km. This is a total of 1477km or 211km a day (nearly an Ironman of 226km every day). You could start a signle athlete, a team up to five or a team 6 to 35.
My favorite comes from an unusual source - the movie trainspotting. i have it up in my office.
People think it's all about misery and desperation and death and sh*t, whcih is not to be ignored, but what they forget is the pleasure of it. Otherwise we wouldn't do it. After all, we're not f***ing stupid.
