I'm not sure what to think. I think I'm still mourning the loss of your Abici, Gary. I guess this bike is nicer, but the way you talked about your Time Machine, you'd think you would have had a longer mourning period of grief before you went out and got this thing. HOW COULD YOU!! ;)

Long bed. The short bed is 12" or 13" inches shorter. It would have been cutting it close trying to fit my bike in there with the tailgate up.

Not mine, but I do believe this should reside on this particular thread. For the record I ride a Trek 5200 - does that make me a bad person?

That's mine:

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain.

Here's my rig - a Cervelo Eyre Road model. I ride a 58 and have the mango yellow colour. It's now seven years old - so old that someone recently asked me if it is a new Cervelo model! I have upgraded a few things. This year I installed a set of Ritchy BioMax II handle bars. It came with full Ultegra and that groupo is still working very well. When I feel the urge, I slap on a set of shorty aero bars and ZIPP 440 tubulars to feel real fast.

It's not that hot - it's functional and it works. Although some guy leaned out his car window a few weeks ago when we were both stopped at a stop-light and said, "Cool looking, bike, Dude"! It's been the perfect retirement bike for me - good enough to keep me motivated to ride every now and then, and good enough looking that it never seems to go out of style!
