Once more, the generous, fun, and lively GU Energy crew will be hosting the 2019 Slowtwitch Kona Gathering at their GU HQ on Alii Drive Wednesday October 9 at 3:30 PM.

GU There would be no Gathering without a place to gather, and the GU house is the hopping place. Check out their Hydration Station, set up EVERY DAY from 9AM -dark for those of you running, riding, walking, skateboarding, or in a conga line down Alii Drive. PS, GU products for sale all over town, and check out their pop up store just north of Lava Java. This is also rumored to be THE PLACE to cheer on race day. Vision will again be providing frosty cold local brews while showing off their new tri bars and hydration accessories. And speaking of a Hydration Station, they'll have one set up during race week about 1.5 miles further south on Ali'i. Find them at the expo and the pop up store with GU. So please do not say +2 if it is just you and a friend. Let us know if you’re racing, working, volunteering, spectating, etc.
Also, your significant others and family may not be interested in listening to you yet again, debate the merits of 1x, tire width, sleeved tri-suits, and shaved legs. This is a perfect opportunity for them to enjoy the beach or shopping someplace you're not interested in. Can you please consider limiting your guests to one or two folks who'd love to meet fellow Slowtwitchers and talk about all things tri? Thanks in advance for your consideration.
It’s a very popular (and fun) gathering, and unfortunately each year people who register don’t show up because of prior commitments. When that happens, people who really want to come can’t get in. So PLEASE, only RSVP w your group if you are relatively certain you’ll be attending.
*There will be some limitations as to who can win which prizes. Typically Pros should not win (unless it is a non-industry item) and competitors of brands can't win those items. But we will ask the crowd to assist us with the call when we are in doubt - or want to have fun. We start the raffle at about 5:30 pm and you have to be present to win. By the way, coming in at 5:20pm won't help as by then the registration will be closed.
