I sent Leanda a replacement TorHans aero straw for her drink system last week, but she has a longer Profile straw in there. Hmmm.

I guess the little to no wind really has hurt any chance for Lieto and now Crowie and the rest are better as well. Crowie and Raelert starting the run together should be awesome. I'm guessing a bunch of 5:40s to start off the run as really get after it.

Chances for a course record today? Looks like the race is going to come down to who can run the fastest. No surprise there. The big difference this year is the number of men (and women) all starting the run nearly together...

Awesome race thus far

So what was it that Leito said to Crowie when they passed each other?? I;m guessing that he told him to stay in line, especially if you are never going to pull. Kind of bad form for Crowie to pass Chris and never take a real pull..My guess anyway.

And have to say that this is the best position I have ever seen out of Crowie. New bike fits him well..
too late 4 them 2 gang up on crowie like last year

It's funny.

When you get a big group and calm winds it sometimes has the effect of athletes slowing down and doing a lot of looking at each other.

Lieto tried to resist or capitalize on that. Didn't seem to work.

It will be interesting to see the bike splits.

The women, on the other hand, seem to be totally on the run trying to put time on Chrissie.

Passed by Dibbens might be pulling out...maybe when Mirinda flies by she'll get some motivation back into him.

its not a question of timing, in fact they may well have put in the same surges of power they did last year.

but craig has a new philosophy and better equipment. He isn't going to LET them go, and he probably will not HAVE to let them go.

now will he run just as fast anyway? will be fascinating to see.

Bad form???? this is a race and lieto territory..... There is no rule for having to take a pull at the front.... Craig is playing smart and hitting hard the other one mentally.

Good form is running first pass the finish line..... My view;)

He only has to run a bit faster than the others. So what will they run? What can cgaig do when he is in a running race? He has becked off before when his win was pretty much guaranteed, and last year when he realized there was no possibility. They said he needed 2:35 last year, but he even stated that 2:35 wouldn't have done it as Macca probably had a couple minutes still up his sleeve...

Well if Crowie can get a few minutes on Raelert that's gonna be huge. I'd really like to see them hit T2 together and then head out. Although I wonder if Raelert is still bleeding?

I would love to see some footage of Chrissie.

Don't think we've seen her since she came out of the water...at least I haven't but I have to lose the feed fairly often.

You can feel Alexander's annoyance with peoples views of him in his interview. He always has to explain his short couse wins and 70.3 dominance, which he shouldn't have to do. Talk about his bike strength at St. Croix, etc. He is definitely making a statement this year, some fire in him...

there is a fine art to pimping the sponsors on the air that they have no mastered.

in a similar way most pros have not mastered that art on their facebook and twitter feeds.

"heading to the store on my @cervelo to pick up some @ironmanperform"

NO YOU ARE NOT

Did Dibens actually lose a toe? The way it is being written, its a Steffan/Wellington battle. Disrespectful to Dibens or is it really that bad?
