Craig Alexander is now in trouble - he's 6:20 behind at 78 miles.

So she's hitting it hard before she serves her 4 minutes. Should work out very nicely for Steffen. Ker-ching!

There's no doubt, Macca coincidentally pulling out when he's down and getting beaten will give Crowie's camp plenty to go on about!

I can't see Macca coming out and saying "I didn't feel great, I couldn't keep up and I knew I couldn't win so I quit"...

Obviously there's more important things going on today than Macca DNFing but I'm still eager to hear his story...

So today is the day that all of us that train hard but can't make it to Kona yet get drunk and watch this race? I need a few more drinks to make a bold statement like this.

And back to the race...

Loving the airtime for Jacobs' bike. That Boardman Air/TT is a damn sexy bit of kit.

My question for the day is just how far up the standings Viktor Zyemtsev is going to run himself. He's usually got a really strong marathon and it'd be great to see him do well at Kona.

Seriously these commercials drive me nuts. It's chocolate ****ing chocolate milk, I don't need a bunch of pseudoscience BS to tell me to drink it. What's next, a marketing campaign for water, official beverage of champions?

Oh, and apparently there's some sort of bipedal race occurring today too.

I'm on the trainer right now doing a slow spin while I'm watching Kona and your comment almost made me fall off my bike.

looks like the women's race will come down to Ellis and Rinny on the run, and whether Rinny can run her down. Ellis will outrun Steffen

watch this split, from 75 to 90 miles. rapp's last split, from 60 to 75mi, was within 30 seconds of the fastest split, and maybe in the top 5 or 6. if he's got another top-5 split from 75 to 90, then he's going well.

If Cave, Ellis, and Steffen stay together there's no doubt that one of them will win. Too much experience.

Surprised Steffen didn't get away from them when she went by them. Does she think she can outrun Ellis?
