Strava Brag here... Ah, sweet Stravasfaction
Quote | Reply
WOOO! 10th place on Ashburn Hill in Brooklin, ON. Suck on that b#tches!!! Peter Honig, you are going down.

A couple of things... yes, I am aware that my time isn't all that great and 10th out of 23 is nothing to brag about. As Ranier Wolfcastle once said "That's the joke."

Feel free to add real Strava brags here. Pics/screenshots or it didn't happen.

team time trial practice yesterday and we crushed a KOM by a minute:

Nate/Theron are my teammates I was with, I didn't have my strava phone app on.

But of course my most impressive strava achievement is the Veloway KOM:

and my wife is QOM!

If someone takes this from me I will die trying to get it back (or take my 800 in my Mustang and go full throttle up the hill :D)

If you die, make sure that your family sues Strava because it was their fault...

I went after a couple of KOMs on Sunday and got 'em. I was pretty stoked, this was the first time I actively went after a KOM.

On this one I got the KOM 39 minutes after the previous dude. http://app.strava.com/segments/1222763

This one the guy I beat for the KOM sent me a message later that day saying my 2 second lead wouldn't last long. http://app.strava.com/segments/746745

He did invite me on a group ride later though, so that was pretty cool.

I'm thinking every ride will be a Strava KOM hunter now...

I enrolled in Strava, but never did anything with it. This week, I finally decided to hook up my Garmin 110 to Strava. It pulled down my entire history from that device. Now it's fun to see if anyone was even doing the same routes as me (not many).

I still haven't figured out this thing yet.

This is the coolest thing about Strava. I've met a lot of new friends from being a member......some are just internet friends, some I ride with now.

As one of the most visited monuments in the world, and a pretty popular running route in Paris, I was surprised when I got that one:

I guess Strava has not yet caught on in Paris. Too bad I am not going there, I would take down your KOM. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Is your "wife" named Mister Slave? ;-)
A female would hold the QOM for a segment.

I don't stand a chance of taking your KOM, but nice Strava photo! I took that several years ago...Fairhill MD race.

What does the little lightning bolt symbol mean next to some of the wattages?

lightning bolt means the power data came from the user's device, so likely to be from an actual power meter.

no lightning bolt means the power is a guess, computed by strava based on elevation changes, speed, and mass of the rider.

You took an excellent photo! I never looked at the race photos from that day. One of my teammates told me it was being used in the online Voler catalog and I got it from there. I was semi-famous for a bit :D

That's what its all about....KOM's and being famous for a day (or two). Unfortunately I have neither

Any idea of how accurate are Strava's power calculations?

I uploaded all of the data on my Garmin last night. I just found out that I have a KOM. My average speed was over 70km/hour. I am truly awesome... either that or I accidentally left my garmin on after the ride and drove through a segment.

I have cropped my offending ride to exclude my KOM.

completely not accurate.

I suppose on a steep climb if it isn't too windy, and your mass is entered accurately it would be close...if they have the profile right, and they might not =)

I'm fairly proud of my third place effort on Killer Miller since it was in the middle of the Diabolical Double. I hope it stands until September when all of you Savage Man masochists go and knock it down!
