Waitress: Gasps, doubts

Chatter starts in back of house if this customer is going to eat all the food.

Triathlete: *eats all of food*

Waitress: *believing now* asks if anything else is needed

Triathlete: "yeah 2 milkshakes whole milk and 10 shots of espresso with three chocolate chip cookies and also a bottle of milk and two bottles of sparkling water"

Discussing anything bike related immediately necessitates the using of some form of the word 'run' for some unknown reason. 'I am running 95 psi......' Makes my head explode.

^ I usually say;

"bro I can't eat that pizza. I am on a diet"

(12% body fat is fat for a triathlete) and proceed to get weird look from everyone around me and lots of disgusted looks from females.

Is the swim guaranteed to be wetsuit legal? Should I wear a sleeved or sleeveless if it’s borderline?

Do I get half a M dot tattoo if I’ve only done a half Ironman? What if the race was shortened? Can I still get a full M dot tattoo since it was due to circumstances beyond my control?

I hate it when AGers use the phrase "toe the line". Some BOPer writing his race report and using the phrase "toeing the line" really grinds my gears.

a tropical storm or something hit New Orleans when I raced there in 2018 for the 70.3

They cut the swim in half and it was a legit nutty swim with high chop.

I was entertained - no noodle boats were in sight though...

I was there as well. Swimming out through the protected harbor I was like, "I can't believe they shortened this, it's fine." They I got passed the docks and I started to understand.

Of course that was still better than 2017 when it got cancelled all together.
