Thanks for the reply. If it's a 75mm I'd buy it in a heartbeat if you decide to sell.

If anyone can source that fork for you it would be Westbrook Cycles in the UK. Give them a try.

Traffic, here you go:
http://jordancycles.blogspot.com/...plasma-3-tt-di2.html

I don't see any reason why you couldn't drill the steerer tube the way it is needed yourself (provided you've sourced the flat TT stem to make all the other internal conversion).

Looking for a Plasma 3 seatpost, uncut, or not cut too short.
Mine was cut too short by the previous owner, anyone has an extra seatpost and willing to sell? Thanks !!!

Good morning-I am seriously considering a Scott Plasma. LBS can get me a good deal. I have read through much of the thread but not all and have a few questions.

1. I would swap a Dura Ace 7970/7971 Di2 system from my current tri bike....so I need the Di2 specific frame which is the Scott Plasma TT?

2. What would be a good, reasonably priced, aerobar set up to use that would have some adjustability and still allow the Di2 to run internally within the bars?

3. What rear brake should I be looking at to avoid "clearance" issues?

4. Current rear race wheel is a Zipp 990 disc with PT and 23mm Conti 4000s tire......any clearance issues with that set up?

What other things do I need to keep in mind?
Thanks
Randy

Plasma TTis an almost extinnct bike. It's the one with flat stem. You just need a Di-2 specefic Plasma Premium frame

7800 rear brake works best

Eduardo

How short? Can you add an extra piece of seat post to the bottom of yours?

According to my bike mechanic, the clamp wont hold the post securely at the height that I need it. If you happen to have a replacement seatpost I am interested. Thanks!!

Regarding the rear brake, has anyone used anything different than the DA 7800?
My DA 9000 Stages hits the cable lever, so I had to take it off. I was thinking a TRP T925.1R or possibly a Campagnolo lateral TT rear.
My preference would be the Campagnolo, your thoughts?

My wife had the same issue with her Stages PM on her Felt. She uses the TRP which she us not that impressed by but then it's just a back brake so .. That said it does resolve the issue.

There's no Di2 specific frame available that I'm aware of. They were made, but given typically to the sponsored teams and athletes. If somehow you can get one of these, you'll need the flat shark tooth stem and pro missile EVO bars.

I would think the rest of your questions could/should be answered by the shop selling you the bike.

Does anyone have any experience with their rear brake not working? It's the stock brake. Only the right arm works and it has barely any force. I rode the bike all year with only the front brake. My mechanic had the bike for two days and couldn't figure it out.

Is there a special washer or part that should be in there? It has the normal washer that goes on normal brakes.

I can't figure it out.

Your mech had the bike for 2 days and couldn't fix a brake? Time for a new mech!

The back brake on the Plasma is rock solid. Should work like a charm. Does the cable travel smoothly if not attached to the brake? Did you mech not narrow things down to cable or brake?

Thanks for your reply, the table is of no help. They are not Stages cranks which are bulkier than standard 7800/7900 cranks. I have run with the 7800 brake FSA Gosamer SRM, 7900, 6800 cranks with no issue. I need a narrower brake with no quick release non-drive side so the Stages PM doesn't contact it and get damaged.
I was hoping someone may have tried the Campagnolo TT lateral pull brake (U-brake). I'll just pull the trigger an see how it fits.

There shouldn't be any issues with the FLO DISC fitting a Scott Plasma.

The Plasma 3 TT is Di2 only. Not the easiest to find in the US, but I'm in the UK so it was no problem.

Here's this year's setup. For next year I have a RZR 92 front wheel and Fibre-Lyte are doing full carbon aero Osymetrics for me.

So, I've put a Campagnolo lateral pull TT brake (couldn't get my hands on a TRP easily) on so I can run a Stages DA 9000 powermeter, good news is there is no interference with the extra crank bulk of the Stages, but the bad news is there is some reduction in cable pull by the brake arm that runs onto the non-drive side as it hits just above and behind the bottom bracket. I'll post pictures soon, but to circumvent this I jimmy-rigged the pad on the drive side with about 5mm of spaces to allow for greater braking modulation, I also stayed with the DA 7800 brake shoes for ease when swapping to carbon pads.
I'll get the LBS to see if they can fix this, just wanted to see if it was possible.

No issues whatsoever. Only issue is going faster than I'm accustomed to and being accused of having an unfair advantage! Kidding--super smooth and easy switch--just don't forget a crack pipe for race day. Not saying I did that, but....

Shut up legs.

Got a great deal on the frame and built this up over the last few weeks using the great info in this thread, really looking forward to getting out on the roads on it.
