That was funny. From the lead to 6th in no time. What a tough race.

Stupid is.

However, Marino can buy a bunch of ice cream with the two or three primes he snagged. Might have been the plan from the get-go.

So no judgment of that race.

Needs to finish tho?

Wish Kienle hadn't had that flat, it would be epic between him and Jacobs right now.

Man, everyone else is kinda fighting it...but Jacobs looks like Forrest Gump. He just wants to run.

We don't need to think too much more about this one.

Now...to the gals. :)

This could be an epic finish if Jacobs falters at all. They all just got sight of each other at the turnaround.

And for now, both Faris and Natascha get huge props. They're not supposed to be there. But they are.

So who else is thinking with their performances might be too good? Especially Natascha at her age...what kind of testing is at the event? Only top 3 or top 10?

Some athletes were tested days before the race.

I totally noticed the same thing....he just seems like a dick.

Wrong time to judge a guy's personality IMO. This isn't just a hobby for these boys. Let Marino do whatever he's gotta do. He's not breaking any rules. Every single one of these top ironman guys has a bit of cold, hard bastard inside them. That's what it takes IMO.

They all seem to leave that part of themselves at the finish line, so I wouldn't call any of them dicks. Each one of them that I've met has been a kind, humble bloke.

Racing is racing, though. Marino is racing. I can tell he wants it.

Marino's a bad ass I'm loving this, mannerisms and all!

Xena out front. MBE & Leanda steady at 3:30. Rinny also steady at 5:10. That is still a chunk of time - she better start moving.

It doesn't look like MBE and LC are gaining much on Caroline. They're still about 3:30 down. Rinny is closing.

That's what Welchy said. That makes is 50/50 whether it's true. Not sure if a prime holds up if you don't finish.

Anyone?

We wont see jordan for a bit now, but it looks like he is running the fastest run of the day, including jacobs. The race for 2nd right now is unbelievable, 4 guys about to be right on top of each other. Jordan could still be 1st american, depends on how potts finishes.
