I'm gonna guess this race has both a short swim and a short bike.

Although for some perspective, KB was 6 mins ahead of Adam Bowden today. This compares to the 12 that JF was ahead of Bowden in Port Elizabeth.

Maskin!

Great guys and cool that they share their training.

Do I understand right that they just did their base training and this works perfect for 70.3?

10k - 30:48 / half - 1:06:40

Well, I dont think you were... I dont pay that much attention to pro triathlon myself and I still know who they are. Look at this years IM 70.3 World Championships results for example.

Btw.: Iden uploaded his activities to Strava and it doesnt seem to be that much shorter, run is spot on and bike is 700 meters short.

A few more names to watch for you then! Bowden and Heemryck were both top ten in the 70.3 WC this year, and Bowden/Trautman went 4/5 today, and Heemryck at Daytona tomorrow.

Frodo was also a top ITU athlete, it kind of proves the point.

Those runs are amazing, especially considering how Blu is built. Iden looks more like a runner but Blu ‘s body type reminds me of Chris Solinsky, who had the American 10k record at one point at just under 27 minutes. I want both of these guys to do more 70.3 races!!

I’m doing IM Norway in June - maybe they will do the 70.3 event, which is held the same day.

Oh look at that. top ten. Im blaming the three top guys showdown for that miss ;)

Norway going 1-2-3 was a bit of a surprise for me but Blummenfelt winning, not a big one.

Bozzone really race a abnormal amount of races. Maybe a bit over the top, must be really hard to recover good enough.

Cool. guys are fast and the track too. Nice with numbers to back it up

Nice to see Raelert in top 10 during the run at some point

Out of curiosity, which course and athlete held the previous 70.3 record ?

With a 1:06 half, I’d wager the run was short too. I wonder if it’s intentional. IRONMAN did note Texas was a world record and acknowledged the bike was 2 miles short.....

Pros also acknowledged the run was short in Port Elizabeth too...

Super League, ITU Sprint or Oly, 70.3, the performances are unreal. KB is an animal. A slightly faster Kanute.

Sub 3:30 is unfathomable for me. I tried running a k at the 1:06 HM pace today, and I could barely manage. It's great stuff.

The only distance I feel that misses out is IM - most 'move over' when they can no longer maintain their high standards in ITU.

I dont know about the swim, but the bike was 89.3 and run 21.1 on both my stryd and Garmin 935 with GPS+GLONASS. Just really good conditions :) as always, my files are on my strava account. Take a look if you are interested.

Cool, thanks for your reply Gustav! And congratulations for your insane race!
But bike power seems a bit low at 280W for 45km/h? Is your powermeter calibrated?

Wish you all the best for the Next Season. Are you going to race 70.3 worlds? Shows that ITU athletes in their prime demolish 70.3.
