70.3 Baharain will see a Norway 1-2-3 ?

It is going to be fun to see the norwegian team on saturday. It is looking to be a result like cross country skiing...

I think it will be like this..

1. Gustav Iden Norway
2. Kristian Blummenfledt Norway
3. Kasper Stornes Norway

Doubtful - start list is pretty decent if it holds although begs to ask how Terrenzo is going to be feeling. But you've got Trautman, Heemryck, Bowden among the names you also can't ignore.

That said - super excited to see this play out

It is really going to be fun to see.

The norwegian team , under coach Arild Tveiten and Mikal Iden(gustavs 2 year elder brother) is just on a different level than the rest.

ps Gustav Iden did a 5000m run test in training in minus 2 degrees 2 weeks ago in Bergen. He ran 14.18

It is live on Ironman facebook..

I thought this was an individual sport? First Team Sanders-Charbot in 2015, then Team Edinger at Kona this year, now this??? (pink...kinda)

It is like cross country skiing. They have a national team with a national coach and they do a large part of the training as a team.

that is why they bring it to a new level.

In competition they are individuals.

As Ivar said - I believe these Three will be on another Level. The only one I see giving them a run for their Money is Bozzone - but then he must really be on top of his bike-game!

I seriously doubt Bozzone will win it - but he is the only one I can se disrupting a Norwegian 1-2-3. Bozzones chances will increase with higher temps and humidity though.

Sounds interesting, will there be video coverage? There's no mention on FB yet, on the ironman site they say live coverage but maybe that's with tracker updates only?

Cool? Besides Blu this is all an extrapolation without any prior results at this distance of how they're going to perform(edit: i forgot about Iden in 2016). And what does another level mean? Are you really arguing that if on form, Bozzone isn't able to keep pace with Iden/Stornes?

Either way we'll see how it crumbles on Sunday but I'd rather remain the skeptic

Isnt Gustav Iden the youngest 70.3 winner ever to this date for winning 70.3 Haugesund in 2016 at 20 years old?

So running in -2F is going to help the Norwegians sweep the podium in a hot climate race in Baharain? I’m sure these guys will be in the mix, but calling for a podium sweep seems unlikely. Perhaps treadmill runs and trainer rides in a warm room with plenty of sauna sessions would have them more prepared than runs in sub zero temps.

Iden and Blu together. Stornes 5s back.

That's a lot of cones on the course!

Bozzone is on team Bahrain so there might be incentive to make an appearance

The commentator said the Norwegians are on track to break the world record... Is that the 70.3 mens overall time record or the run record?
