I wanted to hear if he spoke English as well as he types it.[/quote] He actually speaks it better. When he is hear, i proof read all his sponsorship letters. Which really means I have to retype them.

3:11 marathon is probably not what Gordo was hoping for.

Jonnyo has been living at my house for 2-7months of the year for the last 6 to 8 years.

ShawnF - I actually think I still have them on my other computer.

Where is the camera on the run course? (The view they've been showing right before Bentley's finish.) There are people headed in both directions, but there's no way some of those folks are coming in to the finish in sub-10.

I think what we're all trying to say is that you're fired and Shawn is taking over... :P

Yeah - very true. A 3:11 would not be Gordo's 'eye of the tiger' event.

you would think after all these years they would get it straight! I wanted to hear what Jonnyo had to say!

The word is that when they interviewed Jonnyo he just stated with a defiant look: "Gordo, HTFU!" ;-)

You know in all this Jonnyo glory, we have to give Paulo some serious kudos. Before Jonnyo went to Paulo he was strong but his race results were inconsistent and sporadic. Since joining Paulo, he hits PB's in every race...from 9:02 and 4:02 in 2 weekends last fall in Kona and Soma to sub 9 at Ironman Arizona, Canadian National Long Course tri champ and multiple half Ironman victories this summer and now IMC.

Paulo, congrats!

....and Rappstar, just jumping into an Ironman on 48 hours notice...that is just crazy cool! Gotta like it when you have enough fitness to just jump into a triathlon on Friday nite....Olympic tri...yes....but Ironman? That takes some serious fitness!

Couldn't agree more with you about Paulo. T-Racer has seen the same sort of improvements this year (PBs of 4:35 and 4:32 for the 1/2 IM) since she began training with Paulo. For as much of an ass as he can be on this forum, he really is a great coach and an all-around good guy, once you get to know him.

I totally agree with you all about Paulo! I was thinking about how consistant jonnyo has been since he started with Paulo!

Hopefully now Paulo can pull some of his own magic on himself for his race in october:-)
