My days are bombing the downhills are long gone. I still have a few MTB's kicking around but no Full Suspensions builds. This build was done for local single track and hard pack trails when out riding with my son or buddies. With the 29" wheels and running tubeless it is amazingly smooth on the two rides I have already done. When my son's skill level improves I will add a light weight suspension fork to the build and we will start to do more technical rides up into the mountains.

The idea is to build this up to a point when I do add the front suspension that it comes in at 18 lbs.

Yes, I know it's grammatically incorrect. Blame AOL and their 90s-era character limits.

Oh I like that. I am debadging my build in the next week or so which will get it a lot darker. What fork are you running and what is the weight on that build.

Entry number 4 (or 5 . . . or whatever it is by now):

Giant Trinity Composite, Ventus LTD II bars, 3T brake levers, HED Jet 6/9 with Wheelcover on the way, sweet BTA setup from Alden Designs soon to hold the new Profile Designs Aero Bottle, DarkSpeedWorks bag modified for pass through of cable housing, etc., etc.

Is there any way to hide that front brake cable?

thnaks, high praise given your builds.

the fork is a rockshox sid xx world cup with 15mm trhuaxle.

weight as shown is 19.74 with too much stan's in the tires, but its weight I am happy to have.

only thing debagded is the stan's crest rims. the niner frame's logo is very stealth, black decal over nude carbon.

Not really. That is why I did what I did with the rest of the bike. If that 5" length of cable is holding me back (or anyone else) then they aren't trying hard enough. Right? I mean, seriously. I make up the difference of the front brake cable in the first 200 meters of the swim on a Oly tri. Or 100m if I do it right.

Purely an aesthetics type of question. It's just odd that they have everything hidden, including the front brake, but they didn't think to hide the cable. I'm always puzzled by those types of designs. I love your bike though!

I'll play, here is my progression to present with my P2C.

and my 29er

Both bikes match the TBSS, which is nice.

Are you able to see that computer while riding in aero, or do you have to adjust your position?

If that was directed at me . . . yes, I can see it. Have to look back a tad bit, but only move my eyes and don't have to move my head or position at all. It is awesome.

What happened to you? You shrunk! The seat is currently 6" lower compared to before :-)

Day I bought the bike, guy was a tad taller than me! Switched bars, seat, and stem and now I'm good to go.

Pretty low budget considering most of the rides here, but good enough for me...
